Travel in Bolivia – Where do you want to Go? Our family loves Bolivia and we encourage our visitors and our volunteers to explore as much as possible … • our community, • our city • and further afield in Bolivia and beyond We would love to sit down with you to share our own family’s tips and favourite places to go and to help you make your own travel plans. We can help you make reservations and to buy tickets. We only use travel operators that we have had good experiences with ourselves or have received excellent feedback from past visitors and volunteers. In this pack you will find information about our favourite places and tours. Of course, this pack is not exhaustive, please ask us if you have any questions and we will be happy to help. We try and keep this pack up to date, but prices and details may vary, however, we will confirm these with you before you make your reservation.
Study Spanish Colibri is one of the best places to study Spanish. Bolivian teachers who can give you individual or group classes here. We have a classroom, but most people prefer to study in one of our shaded view points and be inspired by the views. After class, you can study your verbs whilst swinging in a hammock or go and practice your conversation skills with the local friendly shopkeepers Very few people in Bolivia speak English – so it’s one of the best places to come if you want to be immersed in the language and, of course, learn more quickly. Another plus is that because many Bolivians speak Spanish as their second language (after their indigenous languages), they tend to speak much more slowly and clearly than in other Hispanic countries. You will also find that local people are incredibly tolerant and patient if you make a mistake. We can help you set up Spanish language classes with native professional teachers that are organized to meet your needs and expectations and at a time that suits you. Our teachers like to mix the classroom experience with “field- experience” taking you out and about in the city to practice your conversation skills, and this is also a great way of getting to explore.
