THE BIRDCAGE Dederang Races R estaurateur Barry Iddles has come up with an event that will enhance the guest experience at the annual Dederang Country Picnic Race Meeting. Iddles has borrowed an idea that has been very popular with racegoers at the annual Melbourne Cup Carnival. A Dederang-style Birdcage will accommodate approximately 150 punters dressed to impress. Access will only be permitted to those who pre- purchase a ticket and the identity of the celebrity guests will remain a secret. “I love country race meetings and it’s fantastic to be able to bring the birdcage style and class to Dederang,” said Barry. “A lavish marquee with fresh flowers, strapping wait staff, a stunning lobster, chicken & beef buffet luncheon & bubbles Getting in the mood for the Birdcage at the Dederang Races are a couple of our favourite girls, Grace Falconer- including beers and wines will add another Smith and Amy van de Ven.
