        Whole new world (the seas) and time (turn of the 19th century). With the whole series (20
        books), six months of commuter train reading. Best commute time ever.
     Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey
        Dragons! Need I say more. The start of my adult fantasy/science fiction reading fixation.
     Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome
        Sailing and adventures for kids. Speaks to the imagination in all of us as children.
     The Talisman by Walter Scott
        They wrote historical fiction in the past (1825) and it was exciting. Who knew?
     Poldark by Winston Graham
        Proof that the books are better than television miniseries.
        And so many, many others. Six decades of impactful reading – hopefully, a lot more to go.
