Dear Parents,
We are overwhelmed that the entire family of Shikshiyan is
back after winter vacations and we take immense pleasure in
wishing you all ‘A Very Happy And Prosperous New Year.’ The
days are once again going to filled with laughter, positivity, love
and warmth as each child will share he fun-filled memories
from their winter break.
 This month under the theme of “Community Helpers”, we
would introduce children to different Helpers. Community
helpers are people who live and work in our communities. ...
Some examples of community helpers are: doctors, nurses,
chefs, bakers, astronauts, soldiers, teachers, dentists, mail
carriers, bus drivers, coaches, babysitters, fishermen, plumbers,
firefighters, farmers, librarians, and volunteers.

EVENTS OF THE MONTH

New Year
Shikshiyanties will be given a warm welcome on 11th Januray2021.

Lohri Celebration
Lohri is one of the auspicious festivals of Punjab and is
celebrated across the nation with great pomp and
excitement. Is is the festival to worship fire. Lohri will be
celebrated on 13th January ’21 with jubilation and
enthusiasm. Our tiny tots will dance on beats of ‘DHOL’
and enjoy around the virtual bonfire. Kindly dress up your
child as a Punjabi Boy or Girl.

Disney party
The greatest place on the face of the earth is
Disneyland. Nowhere else has the magic that a day at
Disneyland possesses. These are just a few of the
many great aspects of a wonderful place called
Disneyland. Disneyland as a place where “little kids”
go to meet Mickey Mouse. To experience the fun of
Disneyland we are going to arrange virtual Disney
party for our shikshiyanties On Tuesday, 19th
January2021. Kindly arrange the suitable costume
for your ward.

Unscramble Word
A word unscrambling tool can, of course, be a support to unscramble jumbled
words. The English language is fascinating in its
variety. Spellings are not always very intuitive. Silent
letters appear and pronunciation emphasis on
different syllables can be confusing. It’s said to be one
of the most difficult languages in the world to learn!
Also, there are words that sound the same but are
spelled using different letters and have totally
unrelated definitions. Therefore, having our Word
Unscrambler at your fingertips can be a real plus when
you’re attempting to sort out what words the mixed-up

letters reveal. On Friday, 22th January’21 they play the game unscramble
words by using letters.

Republic Day
Republic Day is a national holiday in India. It honours
the date on which the Constitution of India came into
effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of
India Act (1935) as the governing document of India
and thus, turning the nation into a newly
formed republic. The Constitution was adopted by the
Indian Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949
and came into effect on 26 January 1950 with a
democratic government system, completing the
country's transition towards becoming an independent republic.
Shikshiyanties would celebrate this Day on Monday, 25th January 2021.

Reading Day
Aimed to encourage younger readers to love reading, National
Reading Day is celebrated all across on 23rd January,21. Our
Shikshiyanties would be celebrating this day on 27th Jaunary,21
and share about their favorite book and story.

Show & Tell Competition
Show and Tell is a classroom activity for children at the
elementary level. They bring their favourite item from
their home to the school and tell a few lines about it
like what it is, why it is their favourite and what its
usefulness is. ... The child can overcome 'stage
fright' and learn the skills of public speaking. The
Kindly Prepare your ward for the competition will
be held on Friday, 29th January 2021.

                    The Big Mess
The pig fell in the mud.
The pig was stuck in the mud.
Liz went to get the pig from the mud.
Nick went to help Liz.
Liz was big. Nick was not big.
But Liz fell in the mud! Liz was stuck.
Liz sent Nick to get help.
Nick got Ted to help.
Ted went to help Liz and the pig.
But Ted fell in the mud! Ted was stuck.
Nick went to get Sam to help.
Sam went to help Ted Liz and the pig to get up from the
mud.
