About us
The Dorplex Story:
For the last 30 years Dorplex has grown to a point where we are now one of the
leading manufacturers of Custom Steel and Fiberglass Entry Systems in North
America. Our facilities, in Toronto Ontario, has the latest in automated equipment,
from a fully robotic paint line, a “state-of-the-art” slab machining line and automated
equipment all along the assembly process. Nothing is left to chance, when your new
door arrives, it will be perfect in every way. Production and engineering are only one
part of the equation when it comes to manufacturing a Custom Door System.
Our super dedicated “Customer Support Team” makes sure what you ordered is what
you get. From Order Entry to product procurement to production control, shipping,
billing and after sales service, nothing is left to chance.
Our main goal is to make sure you get what you ordered, on time, made with the
highest quality materials available, assembled and finished with passion and pride.

High-Performance Steel — Durable, secure and long-lasting
Dorplex uses a Premium 24 Gauge Steel Slab that is Factory Prefinished (WHITE) by our supplier and does not need further
finishing. There is a 16” LOCK-BLOCK on all doors that will accommodate almost all hardware styles and the door is filled with
a Polyurethane Foam Insulation that will keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Fiberglass — Engineered to last a lifetime
Get the ultimate in performance and appearance with fiberglass doors. These doors won’t dent, crack, split or warp. In addition,
they provide five times the insulation value of a wood door. Choose from dozens of Dorplex decorative glass or wrought iron
inserts to further enhance your door, or enjoy the simplicity of a traditional paneled door. Choose from Smooth, or Grained Oak
and Grained Maghogany textures.

to Sliding Patio Doors. Standard Garden
Doors are sized to replace most Sliding
Doors without structural changes. Door
panels are hinged either on the frame
or the center post for a variety of entry
locations and interior furniture placement.
The Garden Door Collection is available in 2 panel,
3 panel and 4 panel models. The standard height is
79 5/8” but Garden Doors can also be made with 79”

styles have no knots. The lock block is 16 inches which will

We offer 43 paint colours to choose from. Our paint is a premium paint that contains a
heat reflective pigment that will reduce the surface temperature of the door. Our paint is
applied using techniques perfected by the automotive industry. We use robots to apply an
exclusively formulated primer. Another robot then applies one of the 43 Dorplex colours.
The automated process guarantees a consistent quality finish that carries a five year
warranty against fading or blistering. If you choose to have your door painted we will
provide you with a touch up bottle to repair minor scratches. See page 33 for Paint Options.
STAINING
We provide customers with 8 stain colour options. The stain process is highly intricate. It is all done by hand
in our staining facility. The end result is a beautiful stain that will match any wood door finish. When you
choose a factory stained fiberglass door you will get a door that looks like wood at a fraction of the wood
door price. Get the ultimate in performance and appearance with fiberglass doors. These doors won’t dent,
crack, split or warp. The rails and styles which surround the entire circumference of these doors are four
inches of strong laminated veneer lumber. Your door is reinforced from top to bottom. Just like a wood door.
