REQUESTS FOR HELPERS CHURCHYARD MOWING We are grateful to the team who regularly mow the churchyard in Kingscote and Bagpath. We would like to recruit an additional person to help, as Harry Tubbs is stepping down from mowing duties. Our thanks to Harry for hundreds of hours of mowing and ensuring that the grounds are a credit to the village and the church. The section which needs to be mowed is the small triangle to the right of the main path leading to the church’s front door. There is a mower and a strimmer available (although some members of the team prefer to use their own equipment). If you feel you may be able to help, please contact Harry on 01453 860194. CPRE STONE STILES PROJECT There is no definitive list of stone stiles in Gloucestershire and most are unprotected, so your help is needed to produce a record of them. Where they exist they mark ancient pathways prior to land enclosure, and the lines of the pathways can give a clear indication of where there was human habitation pre-1800. If you'd like to help, take a photo of the stone stile, download this form, and send both to CPRE volunteer Peter Wilson here. Please note! The photograph of the stile at the end of Back Lane has already been submitted to CPRE.
REQUESTS FOR HELPERS TREE SUPPORT A message from Wotton Area Climate Action Network (WACAN). We are enormously grateful to Geoffrey and his team at Matara, not only for providing the land on which to plant trees last November, but also for watering them during the recent dry weather.
