Pritzker Community Service & Agency Awards Governor JB Pritzker was sworn in as the 43rd governor These awards recognize those organizations and special individuals, who tirelessly work of the state of Illinois on January 14, 2019, becoming the to effect change in the laws of our country, to help those who are less fortunate, to right 3rd Jewish governor of Illinois and one of only 26 Jewish perceived wrongs, and to strive with all their being to make justice a reality for all. The deeds accomplished by the recipient of this Award truly exemplify the Jewish concept of Tikkun governors elected in US. history. Olam – literally “Repairing a Broken World.” Through their actions we know that we too can help make the world a better place, and for that, we owe them a debt of gratitude. Before becoming governor, Pritzker founded 1871, the non-profit small business incubator in Chicago that has helped entrepreneurs create more than 11,000 jobs Hon. Gerald C.
