If you would like your college acceptances posted on the I Got In bulletin board, be sure to sign up in the College Office. If you are unsure about your future plans, please make an appointment with Mrs. Walsh as soon as possible. Keep in mind that seniors are entitled to 5 college visitation days to be considered as excused absences. Permission slips may be obtained in the College Office. The intent assist students who have questions about Carnegie Mellon's unique colleges/programs, as well as the admission process. Only students with specific questions about Carnegie Mellon or the admission process should register for an admission counseling session. Admission counseling sessions last about 20-30 minutes and will be conducted via video conference. A phone option is also available. Note that all times are Eastern Standard Time (EST). FAFSA Free Application for Federal Student Aid- (AVAILABLE 10/1/19) The FAFSA is the form used by all two- and four-year colleges, universities and career schools for the awarding of federal student aid and most state and college aid. NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Helps eligible NY residents pay tuition at approved schools in NYS. Annual TAP awards can be up to $5,165.00. Because TAP is a grant – it does not have to be paid back. The program provides a maximum award of $6,000, requires private colleges to provide a match and freeze student tuition for the duration of the award – maximizing the financial benefit to the student.
