The Selection Process of NSW Operator WWW.THAINSW.NET 39
1. Background The National Logistics Development Committee meeting (the membership of the committee consists of Prime Minister as the Chairperson, Deputy Prime Minister, and Ministers) assigned the resolution to the Sub-committee on the National Single Window Administration and Development to provide the regulation and selection of the National Single Window Operator. The Sub-committee on the National Single Window Administration and Development define the scope and the responsibility of the NSW Operator. For example, to develop the central electronic data interchange for government agencies and business sectors, to cooperate with the import, export and logistics houses, to support the link establishment between ASEAN member countries and countries in other regions. The Sub-committee on the National Single Window Administration and Development meeting had the resolution to approve the model of the regulation and selection of the National Single Window Operator by designated the Government-owned company as the NSW Operator. Currently the method of selecting approach is being processed to propose and subsequently approved by the cabinet. WWW.THAINSW.NET 40
