TOUR INTRODUCTION A golf tour to Canada has been on my bucket list for a number of years. The photos of the golf courses and scenery always gets me excited. We have spent a lot of time working on the itinerary so that you get to experience the best courses possible without too many long coach journeys. We have planned it so if you have time at the end of the tour you can return to Vancouver on the Rocky Mountaineer Train. ITINERARY Tuesday DAY 1: ARRIVE IN VANCOUVER & CHECK IN HOTEL COAST HARBOUR 7th September 2021 Check-in to the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel by APA. Vancouver has a whole lot to offer, soak it all in this new Urban Style Hotel concept to the city. The hotel is situated right near the water, a stone’s throw from the beautiful Stanley Park as well as the bustling Gastown district and the renowned shopping on Robson Street and within easy access to an incredible array of arts and entertainment. Rooms come with complimentary wireless Internet and a range of modern amenities. You’ll also have access to a the fitness center, pool and hot tub. If you arrive early, spend the day exploring Vancouver and discovering all that this beautiful Cosmopolitan city has to offer. Possible activities include taking a sightseeing tour, shopping, visiting the museums, visiting Vancouver Aquarium, walking through Stanley Park, visiting Granville Island Public Market where many musicians and local artists can be seen doing their work, dining in one of the many fantastic restaurants, biking the sea-wall around the western end of the city, and much more. ITINERARY Wednesday DAY 2: PLAY WESTWOOD PLATEAU GC 8th September 2021 Ranked top fifty in Canada Westwood Plateau is a definite ‘must-play’ for any trip to Vancouver. A willingness to be patient within your game and the occasional creative shot making is essential to shoot well at this superb track. Be sure to take time after your round to grab a bite to eat on the deck at Westwood Plateau. The food and the views of Snow-capped Mt. Baker are simply superb! WEST WOOD PLATEAU GC Non golfers: Enjoy a sightseeing city tour of Vancouver Make the most of your time in beautiful Vancouver on a half-day tour of the city’s highlights. Your driver will escort your group to popular attractions such as Stanley Park, Granville Island, Chinatown, and Gastown. See totem poles, wander through food stalls and craft galleries, and get great city views from lookouts like Prospect Point. ITINERARY Thursday DAY 3: TRANSFER TO WHISTLER & PLAY CHATEAU WHISTLER GC 9th September 2021 Transfer from Vancouver to Whistler and check in to your One- Bedroom Suite at the Westin Resort & Spa Whistler: All of the suites feature a welcoming fireplace, flat panel television, inviting soaker tub, quality-appointed kitchen - and windows that open to fresh mountain air. ITINERARY Friday DAY 4: PLAY BIG SKY GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB 10th September 2021 Ranked in the top fifty in Canada this Robert Cupp designed course uses water as its main weapon so accuracy off the tee is a must. The incredible views of Mt. Currie and the surrounding hills make for a spectacular background to this superb course. The scenery and beauty can be distracting but take the time to enjoy the surroundings at Big Sky Golf Big Sky Golf and Country Club. BIG SKY GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB
ITINERARY Saturday DAY 5: TRANSFER TO VERNON & GOLF AT TOBIANO GC 11th September 2021 Transfer from Whistler to Vernon. On the way stop and play Tobiano GC. Set upon the rolling bluffs and ravine-cut canyons overlooking spectacular Kamloops Lake, Tobiano captures the essence of BC's scenic Thompson-Okanagan golf region. The enticing front nine, complete with the arid clay bank dunes and bench lands, blends perfectly with the bluffs and sentinel hoodoos on the back nine. Play it just once and you will understand why both Golf Digest and Score Golf named it the best new course in Canada. TOBIANO GOLF CLUB Continue east after your round to Vernon. Check into your One- Bedroom Suite at the Predator Ridge Lodge & Spa: These spectacular units offer panoramic views of the Predator Ridge golf course and hillsides. ITINERARY Sunday DAY 6: GOLF AT PREDATOR RIDGE—PREDATOR COURSE 12th September 2021 Balancing length and design strategy, The Predator 18 features elevated green complexes and links-style bunkering. The Predator's second half is a stunning links design with grassy dunes rolling to the horizon. As challenging as it is beautiful, it is known for its classic bunkering framed by golden windswept fescue grasses. PREDATOR RIDGE GOLF CLUB—PREDATOR COURSE
ITINERARY Monday DAY 7: PREDATOR RIDGE GOLF CLUB—RIDGE COURSE 13th September 2021 Named 2010 Best New Course in Canada by Score Golf Magazine and Top-Ten Public Course in Canada in 2017 by Score Golf Magazine , The Ridge Course is an incredible 18-hole championship layout. Taking advantage of the natural topography of the site, the course is defined by long, scenic fairways and beautiful granite rock outcroppings. PREDATOR RIDGE GOLF CLUB—RIDGE COURSE 7pm. Tonight we have included a group dinner on the deck of the resort overlooking the golf courses. (Drinks at own cost)
ITINERARY Tuesday DAY 8: TRANSFER TO BANFF 14th September 2021 Transfer from Vernon to Banff. On the way stop for a picnic lunch at the storied Rogers Pass - the route the Canadian Pacific Railway found through the Rocky Mountains that enabled the nation to be connected from coast to coast. Arrive in Banff and check in to the The Rimrock Resort Hotel.. The Rimrock is a Four Diamond Hotel located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and Banff National Park. ITINERARY Wednesday DAY 9: PLPAY SILVER TIP GOLF CLUB 15th September 2021 While other courses may offer a memorable hole or two, Silver Tip boasts one spectacular view after another. The course offers just the right combination of exhilaration and tranquillity, with a world-class course uniquely designed as an integrated part of the surrounding landscape. The vistas are an incomparable panorama of landmark mountains, intoxicating valleys and the majesty of the spectacular, pristine Rockies. SILVER TIP GOLF CLUB Non-golfers, spend the time exploring the beautiful Bow Valley. Take a nature tour, join a highlights tour that includes the incredible Columbia ice fields in Glacier National Park and the picturesque Lake Louise. The turquoise water and snow-capped mountains make for an incredible sight. If you prefer, take a scenic helicopter flight, spoil yourself in a spa, take the gondola up Mt. Rundle for incredible views of the valley, spend the day in the Banff Hot Springs or even go fishing or white water rafting in Banff National Park. ITINERARY Thursday DAY 10: PLAY KANANASKIS GOLF - MT KIDD 16th September 2021 Ranked amongst the top fifty of all golf courses in Canada, Mt Kidd is a great blend of thinking golf and “grip-it-and-rip-it” holes set in what Robert Trent Jones called “The greatest natural setting he ever had to work with.” You will love this Canadian golfing gem! ITINERARY Friday DAY 11: PLAY BANFF SPRINGS GOLF COURSE 17th September 2021 Set in a landscape that seems to have come straight out of a dream, the Banff Springs Golf Course is simply what every other mountain course aspires to be. Built in the shadows of the towering Rocky Mountains, the Banff Springs course weaves through dense, evergreen forest, and beside two glacial rivers. With distractions like the incredible scenery, clean mountain air and roaming elk, this superbly maintained course will test both your concentration and your game. THE BANFF SPRINGS GOLF COURSE Tonight there will be a farewell dinner and drinks.
ITINERARY Saturday DAY 12: TRANSFER TO AIRPORT & TOUR OVER 18th September 2021 9am. Group transfer to Calgary International Airport. Allow 2 hours so please book onward flights that depart after 1pm. TERMS AND CONDITIONS PAYMENT INFORMATION A deposit of AUD$100 per person is to made at time of booking. A second deposit of AUD$3,000 per person is due on 30 September 2020. (At this time you will able to take out Travel Insurance) The final non-refundable payment is due on 30 April 2021. The final pay- ment will be for the full tour price in $CAD converted to AUD based on the best CAD sell rate from the Major 4 banks as at 10am on 29/04/21. The deposit will then be deducted from this to give the balance owing. No refunds are available after this date. You can lock in a $USD rate with our FX advisors within 12 months of the tour departure date if you wish. Please contact us to secure a quote. If you do lock in a $USD rate once your deal is con- firmed it becomes legally binding and full payment must be made within 5 working days to our account shown on the Booking Form. TWIN SHARE & NON-GOLFER SINGLE PACKAGES If you select a ”Twin Share” package you must nominate at the time of booking who you are sharing with on your booking form otherwise you will be recorded and charged the price of a Single package. We are unable to find a twin share partner for you. You must also nomi- nate on your form if you require one bed (i.e. Queen or Double) or 2 separate beds.
