we ask you to fundraise a minimum of $5,000 for Cure Kids – NZ’s largest funder
of child health research outside the government.

Cure Kids’ vision is a healthy childhood for everyone. We focus on raising funding to enable high-
impact, New Zealand-based medical research to help save, extend and improve the lives of children
diagnosed with serious life-impacting and life-limiting health conditions.
Cure Kids’ funding supports researchers across New Zealand whose work focuses on childhood
cancers, inherited heart conditions, epilepsy, infectious diseases, cystic fibrosis, sudden unexpected
death in infants (SUDI), stillbirth, burns as well as child and adolescent mental health – and many,
many other areas of research.
As the largest charitable funder of child health research, we work hard to support the best research
possible to make a measurable difference to the health and well-being of children in New Zealand.
This is made possible by remarkable people like you who are willing to take on a challenge and raise
funds for Cure Kids.
Completing the TCS New York City Marathon is a major life-changing experience. Being part of Team
Cure Kids and raising $5,000 will help fund life-changing child health research too. Join us on this epic

Marathon Tours are a division of Calder & Lawson House
of Travel and are a fully bonded travel agent who have
extensive experience in assisting Kiwi runners, walkers
and spectators attend and compete in marathons all
around the globe.
They have a long history in working with local
organisations and charities so that they can achieve their
fundraising goals while ensuring their team members
have an incredible experience.
Marathon Tours are a trusted partner to Catwalk Trust,
Achilles, Influence Crew and GetRunning and are
assisting us with our plans to host our inaugural trip to
this years’ TCS New York City Marathon.
Through Marathon Tours we access guaranteed race
entries to this marathon as well as providing on the
ground support to our group when we arrive in New York.
They send a team of experienced staff to accompany
our group, and operate a Travel Help Desk within our
NYC hotel to enable us to make the most of our stay in
this amazing city.

for race day.
For the family and friends of runners, we escort a supporters tour on race day which helps you catch a
glimpse of your runner out on the course. The trip is just as important for the supporter as it is for the runner
and we ensure they have a great time too.
Running the marathon with a group of like-minded people and fundraising for such a
great organisation such as Cure Kids, will make the trip and marathon experience
even more meaningful.
