Australia’s Champion Sire SNITZEL

Presence. Performance. Pedigree. Snitzel’s stakes winning 2YO, DUCIMUS is a hugely exciting stallion prospect who will stand at Rivercrest Park this spring. Latin for “we lead”, DUCIMUS is certainly well named … After all, DUCIMUS underscored his tremendous conformation by ‘leading’ the 2016 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale as the highest priced lot after being knocked down for $700,000 (the most expensive of the 24 Snitzels on offer at the sale … AND the best performed 2YO in Australia among the high priced Snitzels in 2016!). DUCIMUS also led throughout when scoring on debut at Ballarat before showing his explosive speed next time out in the Listed Talindert Stakes – down the famous Flemington straight – defeating subsequent Group winners Taking Aim and Time Awaits. Notably, the Talindert has been won in the last 10 years by Group One producing sires, Star Witness and All Too Hard. DUCIMUS would also lead for most of the journey before getting pipped right on the post by Single Bullet in the Group Three Pago Pago Stakes. Resuming in the spring, DUCIMUS ran fourth in the Group Three Vain Stakes and fourth in the Group Three Red Anchor. Ultimately, DUCIMUS would have ‘Top 5’ finishes in 7 of his 9 starts, 5 of those at black type level. Meanwhile, as the sire of 87 stakes winners of $130 million and standing at a fee of $220,000 in 2018, SNITZEL has been Australia’s undisputed Champion Sire AND Champion 2YO Sire for the past 3 seasons with at least 8 of his sons retiring to stud in last 2 years. The point of difference though is DUCIMUS has the female family to back it up … his dam has produced 8 winners from as many to race: 4 of them stakes winners, including Lite’n In My Veins – a multiple Group winner in Perth, Hi World (another multiple Group winner) and Melbourne stakes winner Loveyamadly. Another close relation is the Darren Weir trained Group winner, Kiwia. Remarkably, DUCIMUS’s first two dams have produced 20 winners from 21 to race … 5 of them stakes winners. So there you have it … presence … performance … pedigree … oh, AND price! DUCIMUS will stand his first season at Rivercrest Park at a fee of just $2,750 inc. Rivercrest Park offers Australian breeders the following breeding opportunities in DUCIMUS;
1) Mares that have placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a Black Type Race shall be entitled to a
Nomination in the 2019 and 2020 Stud Seasons without payment of the Service Fee on
the terms of the Stallion Service Fee Agreement.
2) Mares that have produced progeny that has placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a Black Type Race
shall be eligible for a Nomination in the 2019 and 2020 Stud Seasons without payment
of the Service Fee on the terms of Stallion Service Fee Agreement.
