The plan is to use a semi-continuous, 3-stage, resin-based process to separate the sulfurated organic molecules (chiefly HMTBA, the main molecule used in AT88) from the ammonium sulphate solution (AS). The HMTBA will then be recycled into the AT88 process to boost production efficiency and improve AS quality in terms of particle size, acidity and odor. Run by the Nanjing R&D team, this project recently entered its pre-production phase.
