GROWING IN NUMBERS continued from 3 put in the effort, whether they are a seventh grader or a senior,” Esala said. “We work hard, and we have a lot of fun and the kids enjoy it.” Esala has a goal for each of the members of the cross country team. Regardless of their run- ning ability he wants ev- eryone to look back on a meet or practice and see that they did the best they could that day. He added that it is neat to see the attitude his runners have on the day-to-day. “We want to make sure each year individually and as a team that we have improved,” said Esa- la. Esala said the Eagles are bringing back 8-9 letter winners from last season. But they also will have a number of young- er students coming out willing to run. The Eagles find variety in how they practice, but are putting in the work to grow for the season. WELCOME BACK STUDENTS, TEACHERS & STAFF! New York Mills Operation p www.lundboats.com Ҧ ҲҜ Ҧ ҜҮюҨҫҠ
