GOLF TOM WARD Tom’s Weekly Tip: Rake, Rattle and Roll TOM WARD TOMPWARD@SBCGLOBAL.NET The week’s tip might sound like a song title from the 1950’s. To pull off this drill, all you need is the rake, that is lying next to the sand trap, and a sand wedge. The rattle portion of the drill is what happens when making a poor swing with the rake in front of you. Poor technique will have you on a collision course with the rake. The roll, is what happens when done correctly as the ball will land on the green like ‘a butterfly with sore feet’ and gently roll up close to the hole. In the four sequences of photos present- ed here, I’ll act as your guide to demon- strate the technique that will help you become the new ‘Sultan of Sand.’ Notice the top left photo where I have firmly planted the rake in the sand. Extend your left arm (for right handed golfers) outward, whereby it would easily miss the rake when making your follow-through. I Think in terms of a clock face when setting up to the ball with the rake in front. The rake would be similar to a 12 0’clock posi- tion on your follow-through, and when making the backswing with your club to hip level high that would represent 6 o’ clock. NFL SUPER BOWL LV Super Bowl 2021 picks and predictions have made a lot plays against the pass in the playoffs after an up-and-down regular season (No. 21, 246.6 yards per game allowed, 7.0 yards per attempt allowed). The concern for the Chiefs will be the Buccaneers' star edge pass-rushers, Shaquil Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul, who com- bined for five sacks of Aaron Rodgers in the NFC championship game. Left tackle Eric Fisher (Achilles) is unlikely to play after being hurt late against the Bills, a callback to the Packers not having left tackle David Bakhtiari to slow the Bucs' pressure. There's also little chance the Chiefs will activate right tackle Mitchell Schwartz (back) off injured reserve. The Chiefs scheme to keep Mahomes clean, and he helps out big-time by getting the ball out quickly or throwing on the move with bought time.
