PARISH ACTIVITIES Angel Tree Thank You Thank you for your wonderful generosity with our Angel Tree Ministry this year. On behalf of our parish, on behalf of our sponsoring agencies, and especially on behalf of the children and their families, we offer our gratitude. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, we had to do things differently this year for reasons of safety. We know that it is much more satisfying to choose an angel from the tree, to purchase the gift and to bring the physical gift back to the Church. However, we had significant concerns about the safety of that process. We set a goal of $ 7,200.00 to provide gifts at the same level as past years. Due to your kindness, we exceeded that goal with financial gifts in the amount of $10,405.00 for the agencies. Thank you to our Social Concerns Committee for their work on this project, and thanks to each of you for your generosity. Altar Flowers 2021 St. Thomas normally has a sign-up sheet for Altar Flowers in honor of a loved one or in memory of a loved one. There is a safety issue with such a sign-up sheet due to the coronavirus. Sign-ups are available by calling Jackie in the parish office. Thank you for your assistance in having flowers for the altar. Faith Formation for 2nd Semester Due to the safety issues arising from the Coronavirus Pandemic, St. Thomas will again offer Faith Formation materials for at home study both by hard copies of materials and on line copies of materials. In person classes may be offered for Sacramental Preparation. Sacramental Preparation St. Thomas Parish hopes to offer some in person classes for Sacramental Preparation for those students whose families are comfortable with them in the second semester. For those families who are not comfortable with an in person approach, alternative preparation possibilities will be provided. The sacraments for this sacramental preparation are First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. This is still a work in progress. There will be additional information as plans develop.
