Gambado - Wednesday 24th July Gambado offers children the chance to play, learn, explore and party in some of the most exciting indoor play venues in the world. As Woody and Bo discuss the old days, they soon start to realize that they're worlds apart when it comes to what they want from life as a toy. Science Museum - Tuesday 30th July The Science Museum is the most visited science and technology museum in Europe. There are over 15,000 objects on display, including world-famous objects such as the Apollo 10 command capsule and Stephenson’s Rocket. The interactive galleries bring to life first scientific principles and contemporary sci- ence debates. Plus, you can experience what it’s like to fly with the Red Arrows or blast off into space on an Apollo space mission in our stunning 3D and 4D simulators or watch a film on a screen taller than four double-decker buses in the IMAX 3D Cin- ema. On London’s South Bank you’ll find a never-ending array of thrills and spills spread over three levels – guaranteed to keep children happy, whatever their interests. Try downhill skiing, skateboarding or cyber cycles in the amusement arcade – Lon- don traffic will never seem the same again! Your visit starts at the base of the sculpture, exploring Anish Kapoor’s red lattice tower as it twists and turns above you. The lifts will whisk you 80m up to the viewing platforms and their distinctive panorama of London. Spitalfields Farm—Wednesday 7th August Join us for a fun filled day at Spitalfields City Farm. he farmyard is at the centre of the farm, and home to many much loved animals and great characters. The animals are a learning resource for all who use the farm. Among the many different ani- mals are sheep, geese, rabbits, cows, pigs, chicken, donkeys and many more The farm has a wide variety of green spaces that visitors and volunteers can enjoy. All our spaces wouldn’t exist without their amazing volunteers. They provide all of the hard work, enthusiasm, fun and expertise with a wide range of gardening/ landscaping/food growing/wildlife skills. In the last year, the Farm has become a haven for wild flowers and herbs which are now dotted all over the farm. There is a mobile hut selling food, or please bring your own lunch along! You and your fellow karters will go on track for your first 15-minute session, where you will be com- peting to get the fastest lap time, and complete as many laps as you can. After a short 15-30 minute break, you will go back on track, for your second 15-minute session, where you will hopefully improve on your previous times.! Legoland –Wednesday 14th August Legoland is a kid’s dream! Best enjoyed by children between 3 and 11 years of age, visit the Dragon Ride, Pirate Falls, Vikings River Splash and the Driving School first to miss the queues. The Harbour show is always fun for everyone. Visit the adventure playground at Castaway Camp. Loki’s Labyrinth is the maze within the Land of the Vi- kings. The Enchanted Forest is good for a slow quiet wander, full of Lego animals. Mini Land is brilliant. Loads of moving boats, cars and trains moving all around a superb model village made of lego bricks. Water Works – get the swimming costumes on and let them run in and out of the water jets, great fun and us adults get to sit and watch the mayhem! Bring sun block and swimming costumes. Model Makers Workshop is a lot of fun. There is usually a show of some sort at the Imagination Theatre – gives you a chance to sit down! The Discovery Zone is chance to play, build and learn with Lego. Crystal Palace Dinosaurs – Friday 16th August This unique attraction is home to 30 full-scale, three-dimensional model dinosaurs built by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins in around 1854. There’s a children’s play area and farm, where you can meet some real life furry friends and a fishing lake and maze to get lost in – for a short while at least! Board the magical 4D flying bus driven by Donkey! Meet Princess Fiona in the bus depot and help her conjure up a little magic. Then board the magical 4D flying bus, with Donkey as your driver, as you become the hero of the story!! Step into Shrek's Swamp! *Please be aware that the 4D bus at the start of the adventure is a simulation expe- rience that includes water spray, air blasts, fog and aroma. The bus is not suitable for guests who suffer from Epilepsy, motion sickness, asthma and any other chronic illness. Brighton Beach & Sealife – Thursday 22nd August Join us for a lovely Summers day at Brighton, with it’s gorgeous pebbled beach and pier it makes the perfect seaside day. You can also check out The Lanes if you want to do a spot of shopping. We’ll also be visiting the famous Sealife attraction where you can take a fascinating journey from the coast to the ocean depths at the world's oldest operating aquarium and see over 3500 amazing creatures. Cycle Confident – Thursday 29th August Come to Burgess Park for a relaxing day in the sun. Let your children play in the playground and grab a drink from the café. At 2.45pm, there will be cycling les- sons available at the usual spot, next to the old adventure playground. Learn how to ride a bike, improve your skills and have fun! We ask that families make their own way to the Burgess Park café for 1.30pm. All details with public transport information will be given in the confirmation letter. Emirates Cable Cars & Royal Docks beach– Friday 30th August Take to the air on London's only cable car and enjoy a truly unique experience in east London. Emirates Air Line crosses the River Thames between Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks, just five minutes from the O2 by North Greenwich Tube station. A stretch of sandy beach that provides a great day out with family and friends. Booking form Terms & Conditions Contact events and activities 1. Parents and carers are responsible for their children at all times. 2. Families should be prepared for events, and bring appropriate clothing, footwear, spare money, bottled water, sun cream etc if appropriate. Families will be notified of any special requirements. 3. Under no circumstances will staff tolerate verbal or physical abuse from children, parents and carers or other relatives during family outings or other activities organised by Contact. 4. The behaviour of children, parents and carers, or other relatives when attending an event or activity should not affect the Health & Safety or wellbeing of others. 5. Parents and carers will be responsible for any damage they or their children cause on an event or activity, either through negli- gence or deliberate action. 6. Under no circumstances will Contact tolerate the consumption of alcoholic beverages whilst attending any events unless this is specifically agreed in advance as part of the activity e.g. a parents meal at a restaurant. 7. Please note that Contact cannot be held responsible for any items that have been lost or stolen during an event or activity. 8. Under no circumstances will Contact tolerate any acts of criminal conduct of any kind and will report criminal activity if necessary. 9. Contact staff, and any organised transport, will not wait for families or individuals who are late and have been informed of the arrival and departure times. 10. Under no circumstances should parents and carers behave in a way which could bring the organisation into disrepute. 11. In exceptional circumstances it may be necessary to cancel an event at short notice. Families will be advised by staff of any changes to an event, and must follow appropriate instructions. 12. Families attending events must abide by instructions issued by Contact staff and, in addition, adhere to any specific instruc- tions relating to hired transport, such as use of car seats or seatbelts on coaches, consumption of food and drink etc. 13. Please note failure to adhere to the above could result in you and your family being sent home from the event and you incur- ring the transport costs to do so. 14.
