Y CAMP STARTS HERE! 2021 Sessions Dates CAMP OPTIONS Day Camp is available for eight weeks from 7am Week M T W T F to 6pm, Monday through Friday for children 5+. Specialty Camps vary by week, time slots and age JUNE groups. Little Learners is available for children ages 0-5. 1 21 22 23 24 25 2 28 29 30 1 2 CAMP HOURS Camp officially runs from 9am to 4:30pm. Y Camp showed my ALL ABOUT kids that being open to new ideas SUMMER and experiences is good for them. CAMP FEES Please note, there is a $50 non-refundable one-time registration fee for Y Day Camp and a $10 non- refundable deposit for Specialty Camps. You must schedule or pay the deposit upfront. PAYMENTS At the time of registration, drafts will be set up for designated weeks of attendance. Fees MUST be paid whether your child is present or absent. Inquiries concerning refunds must be made to the camp director. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations must be written and received one week prior to affected session. Any request made in less than one week’s time will not be honored and no refunds or credits will be made. Requests due to medical concerns will require a doctor’s note. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE The Summerville Family YMCA believes in the importance of providing opportunities for all to learn, grow and thrive. Through generous donations of community partners and community members to our Annual Campaign, financial assistance is available with full confidentiality for individuals with demonstrated need. Assistance forms are available at each YMCA family center. Qualification is based on personal need, enrollment limitations and the financial need of the family. Proof of income is required. LEADERS CAMP O Ages: 11-14 Prices: $160M | $260NM Weeks: 1-8 Oakbrook | 7am to 6pm The Campers participate in typical camp activities, but will also have supplemental projects focused on service, team building and life skills. The staff use an experiential learning approach to leadership development and focus on our core values and character development. June 21– 25: Public Speaking. Our Leaders will spend this week practicing their public speaking skills. On Friday, they will be presenting their “How to…” speech. June 28 – July 2: Interviewing. Our YMCA HR Director will help guide our Leaders with best practices for interviewing. July 5– 9: PowerPoints. Each Leader will be responsible for one slide of a presentation on Global Learning. The Leaders will learn how to create a PowerPoint, and then they will use their public speaking experience for their presentation. July 12– 16: Nutrition and Budgeting. Our Healthy Weight and Your Child Director will help our Leaders learn different ways to pick healthy meals and snacks on a budget. July 19 – 23: Writing and Essays. This week our Leaders will have access to a former English teacher to help them learn the basics of writing and creating an essay. July 26 – 30: Basics of Babysitting. The Y staff will spend this week certifying our Leaders in Red Cross Babysitting Certifica- tions with CPR. August 2-6: Talent Show Week. This is a favorite of our campers. The Leaders will plan the theme, make all decorations, work with younger campers on their acts and MC the show on Friday. August 9 – 13: Social and Emotional Skills. The Y staff will go through the YUSA Character Development training focusing on Emotion Management, Responsibility, Personal Development, Empathy and Relationship Building. LITTLE LEARNERS O Ages: 1-5 Prices: Five Days/ Week $92M | $192NM Weeks: 1-8 Grace Lutheran Church | 9am to 3pm The Little Learners Program provides children with the opportunity to learn, laugh and play in a structured setting while growing socially, emotionally and intellectually. Children enjoy a warm atmosphere in which they have the opportunity to engage in themed activities throughout the day. The curriculum of the program includes High Scope Curriculum and YUSA Healthy Me Curriculum. Children also enjoy activities such as yoga, gymnastics, arts and crafts.
