KITZBÜHELER ALPEN CARD = TRAVEL TICKET KITZBÜHELER ALPEN CARD (HEREAFTER KBA CARD) - ATTRACTIVE AND WITH MANY ADVANTAGES All overnight guests in Hopfgarten, Itter, Kelchsau, Wörgl, Angath, Angerberg, Mariastein and Kirchbichl receive the Kitzbüheler Alpen Card (= guest card) from their landlord. This includes not only numerous discounts and reduc- tions during your stay, but also free participation in the activity programme. In addition, you can use the KBA Card as your ticket for the following public means of transport: Explore the Kitzbühel Alps quickly, easily and in an environmentally friendly way with the ÖBB local trains between Kirchbichl - Wörgl - Bruckhäusl - Hopfgarten - Hopfgarten Berglift to Hochfilzen. In the bus network, your KBA Card is valid for all bus lines within the region, as far as Kitzbühel as well as for the Regiobus 8311 Wörgl- Kundl-Breiten- bach and back. And you can also use it for “Ruftaxis” (on-call taxis) in Itter, Penningberg (Hopfgarten) and Kelchsau. This way, your car can also have a holiday. It’s best to ask your landlord for the KBA Card as soon as you arrive, so that it becomes your constant holiday companion!

Panorama hike at the Hohe Salve
Today we will follow in the footsteps of the KAT Walk, the long-distance hik-
ing trail in the Kitzbühel Alps. Supported by the Salvenbahn gondola lift we
will reach the Hohe Salve middle station. Together with our hiking guide Lous
we will then walk over juicy alpine pastures at the sunny side of probably the
most beautiful panoramic mountain in Tyrol, our Hohe Salve. This half-day
tour requires stamina and fitness.

Tour of the Niederkaseralm Alpine dairy,
Kelchsau
For centuries milk from alpine pastures has been processed into cheese,
butter and yoghurt at the Niederkaseralm alpine dairy. Experience the origi-
nal way of food production and see how man and animal spend their summer
side by side in harmony on the alpine pasture. After eating juicy alpine grass
and spicy alpine herbs the cows produce the finest milk which is processed
into the high-quality natural products the Niederkaseralm is known for. A
delightful day is guaranteed! Join the tour of the dairy and enjoy the cheese
tasting afterwards.

Culture meets culinary delights in Itter
Together with Elke, our hiking guide, we start our leisurely “Roas” (Tyrolean
for ramble) through Itter at the village square. First we visit St. Joseph´s
church and the war memorial. After a short stopover at Itter Castle we walk
along the Way of St. James to the „GenussWelt“ of the Ager company where
bacon is still being produced according to old traditional farmers‘ recipes.
Learn more about the delicate procedure of making this culinary treat. Tyrol
and bacon - a legendary duo! The bus will take us back to the village square
of Itter.

Tour of the pilgrimage church in Mariastein
After climbing the 150 steps to the Gnadenkapelle (Chapel of Grace) in the
tower of the pilgrimage church, you‘ll be rewarded with the sight of the fa-
mous Gothic image of the Madonna which has brought believers from far
and wide to „Maria am Stein“ (Mary on the stone) since the late Middle Ages.
The pilgrimage church, which is well worth seeing offers, in addition to the
exhibits in the castle museum, some very remarkable gems: the „Tyrolean
Land insignia“ with the archduke‘s hat and sceptre, donated by Archduke
Maximilan, Master of the Teutonic Order (around 1600).

Breakfast walk in Kirchbichl
It´s the early bird that catches the worm. Together with our hiking guide
Elke we start our day fit and walk along the „Kleiner Panoramaweg“ trail in
Kirchbichl. Afterwards, we strengthen ourselves with a hearty breakfast at

Wild herb walk in Hopfgarten
With our herbalist Lous, you will discover the variety of herbs in the wonder-
ful landscape of our Holiday Region Hohe Salve. You will learn about the heal-
ing properties of herbs, how to collect them properly and processing them
into soup or spreads, as well as experiencing herbs with all your senses.

Healthy by nature in Hopfgarten
Hiking keeps you fit and healthy. So today we‘ll walk with our guide Lous
along „G‘sundheitsbründlweg“ (path of the healthy well) in Hopfgarten. But
why is this path called that? The best way to find out is to experience it for
yourself. After a leisurely hike with a view of Hopfgarten, we reach Lous‘ herb
oasis. Our hiking guide will introduce you to the medicinal herbs of the Alps
and prepare a soothing juice from buckhorn and Tyrolean honey.

Canyoning for adults at the Wilder Kaiser
Today is the day for a very special adventure! After getting picked up in Söll,
we first set off for a rappelling training. At noon we strengthen ourselves with
a snack before we head for the near gorge for some canyoning. For children
from 14 years or, if accompanied by a parent, from 10 years.

Hike through the wildly romantic gorge in
Kundl
From Wörgl we travel by bus through the high valley Wildschönau via Nied-
erau and Oberau to the Färberwirt inn. Leisurely, guided hike on a wide forest
path through the gorge to Kundl. (walking time approx. 1.5 hours). From there
we take the Regiobus back to Wörgl.

Today a very special experience awaits us in Scheffau! After the pick-up in
Söll, we first go for a rappelling training. At noon we have lunch together at the

Pony trekking in Itter
Children‘s joy as far as the eye can see! For children from the age of 3. Today
is going to be a very special day for you and your children! A leisurely guided
hike with Renate and her ponies through the wonderful summer landscape.
The parents lead the ponies on a leash and their children enjoy the tour on the
back of the little horses. An unforgettable experience for the young and the old
in the fresh air.

Berg & Radl culinary e-bike tour in Hopfgarten
Get on your bike and head for the mountains! Because with our modern e-
mountain bikes (almost) no summit is too hard to reach. Just start pedalling
and enjoy the breeze. There will be time for a little rest and Tamara, your
guide, will show her outdoor cooking skills and prepare some culinary treats
for you. What our previous guests have appreciated most about this tour:
we’ve shown them our home, nature and the people here in a completely
new way. Learn about the region from our local guides and listen to their

Panoramic hike to the Kraftalm and
Kleine Salve, Itter
A day full of great views awaits you with hiking guide Elke! We start in the
village and hike across idyllic meadows and forests, past old farmhouses to
the Kraftalm, 1,355 m. The view of the surrounding mountains of the Kitz-
bühel Alps, the imposing Wilder Kaiser and the Inn Valley quickly makes you
forget the strenuous ascent.
Many hikers also visit the pilgrimage church. Built here in 1983 it is a very
special place of power.
After a culinary refreshment at the KRAFTalm, the route continues to the
summit of the Kleine Salve. Here, in addition to a fantastic view, you find the
new reservoir, The lake shore with its sun loungers is the perfect place to
relax. In the summer months of July – September you can descend into the
valley in the new 10-seater panorama gondola of the Salvistabahn, or, all on
your own, on foot.

Alpenspektakel “Tyrolean Music Show“
in Hopfgarten
For over 35 years, one of the best alpine music shows has been the Al-
penspektakel. With alphorns, glockenspiels, yodelling, Schuhplattler, solos
on over 25 instruments, musical interludes such as „the shepherds“, „Dodo
the funny bird“, „Achmet the snake charmer“, „Stravinsky Orchestra“ and
much more. a varied programme is guaranteed.
There are different guest musicians in the show every week, who make this
evening an unforgettable experience.

Guided day hike to Tyrol’s unique
Ice cave (demanding)
By bus or car from Wörgl via Angath to Angerberg. At the carpark of the hotel
Kraftquelle Schlossblick (bus stop: Franzlerbrücke) you’ll be expected by our
hiking gude.Today you will walk a little way on one of the 33 stages of the
Adlerweg trail. On marked paths in northern direction, you walk up to the
„Adlerhorst“ with its carvings, where you can enjoy the panorama over the
Lower Inn Valley and the Kitzbühel Alps. In July and August, a trained guide
accompanies you to the unique natural monument, the „Hundsalm Ice and
Dripstone Cave“.

First Via Ferrata Experiences at the
Wilder Kaiser
Make your first experiences on the via ferrata! From the Wochenbrunner Alm
we reach the practice via ferrata after an approx. 45-minute hike. After the
introduction there, we continue to the Klamml via ferrata. The mountain guide
leads us safely through the 1st section (difficulty B/C) and over the spectacu-
lar two-rope bridge through the 2nd section (C/D). Suited for kids from 10
years if accompanied by their parents.

Family adventure on a farm in Hopfgarten
We meet at the tourist centre in Hopfgarten and together we go by car to the
hamlet of Penning. In a horse-drawn carriage we head on through meadow-
land and woods to the farm Rothenauhof, where we learn lots of interesting
things about life and work on a farm. Afterwards we will taste homemade
syrup and wild herb spread before we walk back. Of course the smallest
ones can join us since this outing is also manageable with a pram.

A hike with llamas and alpacas
We start our walk at the Schönauer Hütte - the home of the alpacas and
llamas, in Breitenbach am Inn. From there we set off on a 2 hour tour with
an extensive refreshment break in the closer surroundings. The walk leaves
plenty of time to answer questions about husbandry, habits, eating habits
and care. And we will disprove the myth that llamas and alpacas usually
spit on people. The soulful gaze from their big dark eyes makes not only
children‘s eyes leap with joy.

Kaiserschmarrn workshop in Hopfgarten
Everyone knows it – everyone loves it, “Kaiserschmarrn”, the number
1 Austrian dessert. In order to make sure that it is a treat to your pal-
ate when you prepare it yourself you can participate in a cooking work-
shop with Tamara Lechner, chef at the restaurant zeitlos. Apart from tips
and tricks about how to make this delicious, fluffy sweet there will be
also time for a tasting. With cranberry jam, applesauce, with or with-
out raisins or maybe even with some stewed plums?! PS: The Kai-
serschmarrn workshop is also suitable for male cooking enthusiasts.

An evening with Lara Bianca Fuchs
The enchanting pop singer Lara Bianca Fuchs, well-known from radio and
television, will entertain you this evening at the Leamwirt in Hopfgarten. On
several studio albums, she has been able to show the music industry and
her fans what the blonde power woman has to offer: a great voice and
a lot of feeling! Titles and albums by Lara Bianca Fuchs, such as “Bis ans
Ende der Welt“, „Solo con Te“, „Mit den Waffen einer Frau“, „Ich schenk dir
die Sonne“, „Wahnsinn“, „Seelenverwandt“, „Gemeinsam statt einsam“ or
“Hello” have long since established themselves and have become absolute
highlights. Lara lives and loves each and every one of her songs, which be-
comes obvious as soon as the singer enters the stage.

Guided hike to Möslalm Wörgl
We start our hike at Hotel Linde and walk through the town centre to the inn
„Berghäusl – BE 550“. From here we follow a wide forest track up to the
mountain inn Möslalm (964 m). After a break there we can climb up to the
summit Möslalmkogel (1.105 m) from where we have a magnificent view
over the Inn Valley. Our way back to Wörgl leads us along the „Schrofen“
circular path.

„Slate and action!” Who doesn‘t know HIM: the GP from the German TV-show
“Der Bergdoktor”, who causes a lot of enthusiasm in the Tyrolean lowlands.
Where the flowers bloom and where nature is still in order fans will get their
money‘s worth. For many years the TV series has been filmed in the Tyro-
lean lowlands, and since 2019 it has increasingly been filmed in the Holiday
Region Hohe Salve. The Bergdoktor is very popular not only in the German-
speaking countries, but also all over the world. Regional expert Tamara
Lerchner will show you the most beautiful secondary filming locations and
locations in and around Hopfgarten. So be there, get on your e-bike, find out
about the filming locations and more about the filming of the “Bergdoktor”.

Things to know about milk & cheese -
a hike to an alpine dairy in Kelchsau
Did you know that, with 7.9 litres of milk per year, Hopfgarten and Kelchsau
are the second-strongest milk producers in Tirol? No? Then join us on a hike
to an alpine dairy in the Kelchsau area. Summer in the Tyrolean mountains
goes with a lot of tradition, customs and passion and is characterized by a
harmonious relationship of men, animals and nature. It is not enough for you
to see where the milk comes from but you would also like to taste the deli-
cacies made from it? It is good then, that our hikes leads us to Niederkaser
alpine dairy where you‘ll be introduced into the tradition of cheese making
on a guided tour.
Please note: the meeting point is not the starting point of the tour! We are
happy to organise taxi shuttle (at cost) for you. Arrival at the starting point
possible with a private vehicle.

Tour of the Niederkaseralm Alpine dairy,
Kelchsau
For centuries milk from alpine pastures has been processed into cheese, butter
and yoghurt at the Niederkaseralm alpine dairy. Experience the original way of food
production and see how man and animal spend their summer side by side in har-
mony on the alpine pasture. After eating juicy alpine grass and spicy alpine herbs
the cows produce the finest milk which is processed into the high-quality natural
products the Niederkaseralm is known for. A delightful day is guaranteed! Join the
tour of the dairy and enjoy the cheese tasting afterwards.
