ABOUT Welcome to this summer edition of About Watford. I hope lots of you have been enjoying going out and socialising again since restrictions started lifting. While Covid-19 may not yet be behind us, there has been lots of work going on to keep the virus under control in Watford and keep us on our road to recovery. This magazine will hopefully give you a taste of some of the new projects that are ongoing and the exciting things we have planned for Watford’s Summer of Fun. ATFORD Features I have recently appointed three new members of my Cabinet: Cllrs Aga Dychton, Focusing on development - Why can’t the council just say no? 4 Jenny Pattinson and Ian Stotesbury, who have portfolios focused around community, Restoring Cassiobury's Wetlands - Exciting new wetlands restoration project in Cassiobuty Park 6 wellbeing and the environment. A firm favourite in Watford, the Big Screen is returning! To help everyone enjoy this year’s event in Big Screen a safe way, the screening will take place in Knutsford and Woodside again, just like last year.
