SUMMER 2018 Cool School offers c ourses for s tudents completing grades K-6, focusing on enrichment, a rts and s ports. C heck out t his y ears courses taught b y s ome of your favorite Spring-Ford teachers! Grades indicated are for s tudents who will complete the g rade in the c urrent 2017-2018 school year.
SFASD PRESENTS 2018 COOL SCHOOL • The 2018 Cool School Summer Enrichment Program is sponsored by Spring-Ford Area School District. • Classes are held at the 7th Grade tBuilding, 833 South Lewis Road, unless otherwise noted • Classes will be held Monday through Thursday • Classes will be offered during three, one-week sessions: • Week I: June 18 – 21 • Week 2: June 25 – 28 CLASS CODES: • Week 3: July 9 – 12 • Two different time slots: Sports and Fitness • Time A: 8:30 -10:30 a.m. Arts, Crafts, and More • Time B:10:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. • When registering for a class, please note the session. Enrichment • Example: June 18 - 21, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. will be Session 1A. • Unless otherwise noted, all classes are held in the 7th Grade Building 833 South Lewis Road, Royersford • Supervision is provided between sessions. Students who are staying should bring a snack. • Many courses have a $5 materials fee. • Cool School Courses are available for students completing grades K-6, depending on description. • Grade levels are based on the grade completed in June 2018. • Registrations will be accepted online or with a paper registration. COST PER COURSE: $45 SFASD residents; $55 non-residents. Course fee increases after May 4 to $50 SFASD residents; $60 non-residents. COOL SCHOOL TERMS AND CONDITIONS Cool School is designed to be an enjoyable learning environment where each student is valued and respected. Disrespect or negative behavior that interferes with the positive experiences of others attending may result in dismissal. There will be a $25 fee for returned checks. Returned checks cancel your child’s registration. No telephone registrations will be accepted. Printable forms for paper registration are available in the office of your child’s school or online at www.spring-ford.net. Online registration is also available. Enrollment is automatic upon receipt of your registration and payment. Online registrants will receive a confirmation e-mail. No other notification is provided unless there is a problem with your registration. All registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis until the course maximum is reached. Registrants in excess of the maximum will be offered the option of registering for another course or a refund. Cool School reserves the right to cancel any course that fails to meet the minimum enrollment. Resident fees ($45 per student per class) apply to those who live in Royersford or Spring City Boroughs, Limerick or Upper Providence Townships, or those who attend a school within the boundaries of Spring-Ford Area School District. All others must pay the nonresident fee ($55 per student per class). Some classes may charge a $5 materials fee. All class fees increase $5 after May 1, 2018. For more information, call 610-705-6210. REFUND POLICY: Courses canceled by Cool School are subject to a full refund. Attendee initiated withdrawal: Requests for withdrawal and a refund must be submitted at least seven days prior to the start of any course/session. A full refund minus a $5 handling fee will be issued. A request for a refund must be made to CoolSchool@spring-ford.net, even for registrations that are canceled online. No refunds will be issued for withdrawal requests made less than seven days prior to the start of a course, or after the course starts. No refunds are given for missed classes or courses. CANCELLATIONS: If it is necessary to close the school due to inclement weather or other reasons, any Cool School classes being held are also canceled. Reasonable attempts will be made to reschedule such classes. I understand the nature and scope of the activity chosen and that there are risks and dangers associated with the activity. I understand that the safety of participants with respect to this activity is not guaranteed by the Spring- Ford Area School District, its respective representatives, board members, officers, employees, agents, instructors or volunteers. I understand that each participant has a responsibility to exercise due care in the performance of the activity for the safety of him/herself and other participants. I understand that it is the responsibility of the participant to provide him/herself with accident or medical insurance.
