Adult Class Level Descriptions Summer @ the BBAC offers a range of youth & teen camps, and adult workshops and studio classes. Use the guide below to decide which class level is right for you or your family member. If you have questions, please call 248.644.0866 and speak to a member of our staff. Adult/Classes&Studios DR AWING Drawing: Botanical Art w/ Colored Pencil & Calligraphy Instructor: Barbara Holmer Botanical art and calligraphy are art forms that make a perfect pair, each enhancing the other. Students will lay out a design, complete a calli- graphic passage in the style of their choice, then begin a botanical drawing in colored pencil. We will have a short session on basic calligraphy using markers, and on hand-wrought calligraphy. Previous experience in calligraphy is helpful but not required.* Bring appropriate calligraphy tools and exemplars if you have them, as well as drawing supplies, to the first class. Paper, a selection of phrases, and botanical references will be provided. The Lori Haber Buckfire Foundation was created in memory of Lori Haber Buckfire, who passed away from ovarian cancer at the age of 41.
