Bracken for their many years of dedicated service and wish them a long, happy and well- earned retirement. There is no denying that this year has been a tough one. The pandemic has played havoc with so much of our lives and for those of us who earn our living We remember too, those no longer with us, especially Pat Smullen and Gerry Dilger. Their trading horses, the market has been difficult. With that in mind, we present our colossal achievements in racing were only eclipsed by their achievements in life. We are stallions for 2021 with all fees significantly reduced, by up to 66%, to allow breeders to find delighted to be welcoming Normarie Santiago, the first recipient of the Gerry Dilger Equine value and profit in the years to come. Amongst another plethora of stakes The course itself will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. We have dedicated some pages winners and sharp two years olds, his exponential growth rate of Group 1 winners reached to this and look forward to many more students passing through the gates of Tully in the 20, led by the teak tough Falmouth and Sun Chariot stakes heroine Nazeef and followed up coming years. This thought provides a timely reminder, to look forward and persevere. It’s by Digital Age. His yearlings sold for up to 600,000 guineas and averaged 290,000 at Book what we do. 1. Where he leads, we all follow. And we remember too, that there is comfort in recollection. Twenty years from now, we Phoenix of Spain cemented his place as the potential torch-bearer to the great one, will look back on the Italians singing from their windows, the banana-bread explosion and covering 148 mares sent to him by some of the world’s best breeders. As the highest rated the streams of Seamus Heaney poetry recited, not least by the next President of America, son of Lope de Vega at stud, we wait in great anticipation of the arrival of his first crop of Joe Biden. Although raised and grazed in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he is yet another fine foals. example of an Irish thoroughbred, succeeding on the world stage. We must all now “believe that a further shore is reachable from here.” Free Eagle, Dragon Pulse and Elusive Pimpernel are now established in their spheres and represent tremendous value. That theme continues as we welcome Equiano, new to Ireland for 2021. He is proven, with 2 Group 1 winners and 29 stakes performers to date. His sons and daughters are fast and he will offer breeders a gateway to the Acclamation sire line at a knock down price. The first runners by Decorated Knight and National Defense will hit the track in 2021. They are in the hands of masters such as John Gosden, Roger Varian, Joseph O’Brien, Mark Johnston, Sir Mark Prescott, Roger Charlton and Richard Hannon among others. We await their arrival with great anticipation.

Mare Syndicate Investment MARE SYNDICATE INVESTMENT The Irish National Stud (INS) Mare Syndicate offers unique investment vehicles and opportunities to join the premium end of the industry in owning, breeding and selling high quality bloodstock. Through a high calibre portfolio of mares and capped costs, we aim to lower the overall risk of bloodstock ownership. This structure is accessible, appeals to a wider network and is an attractive option equally for leisure or business investment. Trends in the bloodstock market are showing that now, more than ever, there is a greater demand for quality in pedigree and physical stock. To meet this demand, the focus for the INS Mare Syndicate will be on the acquisition of premium mares, with strong bloodlines mated to commercial, high class and proven stallions. For the relatively small investment of €5,000, the Mare Syndicate allows you to partner in and build a portfolio of mares. By investing in the portfolio you are reducing and spreading the risk that comes with ownership of single mares, whilst partnering on mares that average 20 times that original investment price. He held on to win the 2007 Grand National. There are too many names, memories, achievements and stories accumulated by our alumni to ever catalogue fully but we attempt in these pages to capture the essence of this great club. All that have passed through the gates at Tully have shared something unique and something they will never forget. Every annual gathering of the Irish National Stud Course has been made up of moments of pure unbridled joy, these highlights that live with those of us who were fortunate enough to take part. This coming year, 2021, will mark the 50th anniversary of the John Clarke, John Osborne and Cathal Beale course. The continued success of our graduates bestows upon us a tremendous honour to have had a small helping hand in their progress. We also take this opportunity to remember those that have sadly passed away. They are always remembered fondly by their class peers and by the memory of their time at Tully. We look forward as always to welcoming the 2021 intake of 24 students from 7 different countries and we thank the multitude of people who have helped to establish the Irish National Stud as the oldest and largest network within the global bloodstock industry.
