FULL DAY PRESCHOOL 6 WEEKS–AGE 5 YOUR CHILD’S FIRST SCHOOL EXPERIENCE Children’s Circle Full Day Preschool combines full-day flexibility and high-quality teaching to create a preschool program geared to the diverse needs of busy families. We serve families with children 6 weeks old up to kindergarten. A day at Children’s Circle reflects our philosophy that children learn best through meaningful interactions with the world around them in a secure environment. Learning is an active process, whether it happens during a teacher-guided group experience or during free choice play. Our program is licensed by the State of Illinois, meeting state standards for health, safety, and staff training. YEAR-ROUND SCHOOL Children’s Circle Full Day Preschool opens at 7 AM and closes at 6:30 PM, with enrollment options that range from two to five days per week. Because Children’s Circle Full Day offers classes 50 weeks a year, you may register at any time. Children’s Circle is closed for one week in August and one week in December, as well as on major holidays. OUR EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY Working in partnership with families, we strive to foster your child’s optimal growth and development. We believe that children learn best in their natural environment. During the early childhood years, the primary developmental tasks children face are building trust, gaining autonomy and self-control, and developing competence and initiative. Through play and meaningful interactions, children gain skills and learn about the world around them. The Children’s Circle curriculum supports these developmental milestones by providing opportunities for children to develop their own interests and pursue activities they select on their own. The teachers listen to the children, seek out their ideas, and allow them to express themselves. WHERE TO FIND US Children’s Circle is housed in the Takiff Center. Our space has been designed and furnished with specific age groups in mind, providing your child with the optimal environment for exploration and education. State-of-the-art playgrounds promote creativity and high-energy play, as well as nature-based investigation and experience. HOW TO REGISTER Please contact Jessica Stockl, Early Childhood Program Manager, at (847) 835-7533 to arrange a tour and discuss availability. Online registration is not available for Children’s Circle. Individuals who live or work in Glencoe for 30 hours or more each week on a regular basis will receive resident rates and priority registration for anyone who permanently resides in their household. We gladly welcome enrollments from neighboring communities as well. Children must be the appropriate age prior to entry. TAKE A TOUR! Call (847) 835-7533 to schedule a visit. 10
