We have enjoyed our first full calendar year serving you from the Downtown Library and are excited about the great things to come as we face a new decade together. Libraries are community hubs, and as Arlington has changed over the past decade, we have grown to serve you. As we enter 2020, we have an opportunity to highlight our growth through the U.S. Census. The Census aims to count every person living in the United States in 2020. An accurate Census helps ensure fair funding and representation, including the federal funding Arlington will receive over the next decade. On April 1, Census Day, all library locations will be open for patrons to complete a census form on our public computers. Responses are sealed, confidential, and not shared with any other organization. We see a broad range of the Arlington community at our libraries. Together, let’s make sure our community is fully counted in this year’s Census. We’ll see you soon, Norma Zuñiga, Interim Director of Libraries
