Welcome to our Walking Festival 2018 Nature Walks LEISURE Sunday 2 September 2018 Walk organised by Coven Ramblers Brewood - Locality 2 Meeting place - Giffords Cross Car Park, Off Port Lane, Brewood, WV8 1RE at 10.00am Chillington Estate Walk Duration 2 hours 30 minutes. A 5.6 mile walk taking in The Avenue, Avenue Bridge, Brewood, Shutt Green, The Oakley, Kiddemore Green, Chillington, Horse Paddock Wood, Upper Avenue. We will have a break at the halfway point, please bring your own refreshments. Contact - Glen Sibley Tel: 01902 790059 or Email: glen@gscs.co.uk Monday 3 September 2018 Wombourne - Locality 5 Meeting place - Barclays Bank, Gravel Hill, Wombourne, WV5 9HA at 10.00am Wombourne Railway Walk Duration 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. 3.5 miles along the railway walk and Brookside Paths. Maybe be muddy in places. There is a café towards the end of the walk for refreshments. A 5.5 mile walks on this area of outstanding natural beauty. Slightly hilly in places but a relatively easy walk with wonderful scenery at the stepping stones. Welcome to our Walking Festival 2018 Nature Walks LEISURE Monday 10 September 2018 Kinver - Locality 5 Meeting place - Wardens Cottage, Kinver, DY7 6HU at 10.00am Kinver Edge Walk Duration 2 hours. This 4 mile walk will take us to the toposcope on Kinver Edge, along the ridge towards Kingsford Forest Park which has recently been gifted to the National Trust. We hope to see some recently exposed Bronze Age walls near Vales Rock. There are some moderately steep paths, but the views are well worth the effort. There are toilet facilities near the start of the walk and a café for refreshments at the end. This walk is across the Star land which consists of fields with a small wood containing many very large trees. Past the historic Star pub down the bridle path to the picturesque Garrett’s Brook. Refreshments are available after the walk. Welcome to our Walking Festival 2018 Nature Walks LEISURE Tuesday 18 September 2018 Penkridge - Locality 1 Meeting place - The Haling Dene Centre, Cannock Road, Penkridge, ST19 5DT at 10.00am Penkridge Walk Duration 90 minutes. Walking along the canal tow path on to the Old Railway line and back to the village by footpath. There is parking and toilets at the Haling Dene Centre. Refreshment will be available at the end of the walk. Contact - George Tel: 07921 855814 or John and Jackie Tel: 01785 714244 Tuesday 25 September 2018 Wombourne - Locality 5 Meeting place - The Railway Café, Old Station, Bratch Lane, Wombourne, WV5 9AD at 10am Wombourne Railway Walk Duration 2 hours. 4 miles of mainly flat walking along the railway walk, canal towpath and footpaths.
