INTRODUCTION The Metropolitan Sanitation Management Investment Project (MSMIP) aims to reduce social and environmental impacts in cities by increasing public access to wastewater management service systems. The Makassar sewerage B2 project of approximately 81.716 km will use the road in the service area consisting of 41 wards in 6 subdistricts (Mariso, Mamajang, Tamalate, Ujung Pandang, Makassar, Bontoala Subdistrict). This centralized wastewater management system in Makassar City will serve 9,900 household connections and 4,100 commercial connections. The purposes and objectives of the preparation of the Temporary Social Impact During Construction are for: a) Understanding the social risks and impacts during construction activities on business activities along the roads under construction so that mitigation can be carried out, b) Managing social and environmental impacts during construction so that the impacts can be minimized.

Name : Pak Sukadi Address : Jl. Hati Mulia Business : Selling chicken noodle (Mobile vendor) Selling time : 13.00 – 18.00 Turnover/month : Rp 5,000,000 Impact : Dust, the contractor regular watered at construction areas to minimize dust pollution, yet buyers increased as workers bought the chicken noodles. During construction, Pak Sukadi was still selling and moved to the opposite side of the road (in front of the school) therefore the income did not decrease.

During construction, Pak Joni was still selling (selling location is at the junction of Jl. Hati Mulia, located on Jl. KS. Tubun) and earning the same as before construction. 3. Name : Pak Udin Address : Jl. Nuri Pekanbaru Business : Selling ornamental fish (Mobile vendor) Selling time : 15.00 – 22.00 Turnover/month : Rp 25,000,000 Impact : Limited access for customers but there is still access for buyers (selling locations at the junction in Jl. Hati Mulia, located in Jl. KS. Tubun). During construction, Pak Udin was still selling in the afternoon as usual and earning the same as before construction.

Hati Mulia Business : Selling pot Selling time : 07.00-19.00 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : - Impact : Dust. the contractor regular watered at construction areas to minimize dust pollution. During construction, Anika was still able to sell flower pots and her income was relatively the same as before construction. 5. Name : Ibu Harliana Address : Jl. Hati Mulia Business : Selling coconut (Fixed with tent) Selling time : 08.00-18.00 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : - Impact : During construction, Bu Harliana was still able to sell coconut ice. No data on the turnover before and after construction but based on the interview result, her income was increased due to the increase in buyers from project workers.

Name : Ibu Risna Address : Jl. Hati Mulia Business : Car seat repair and drinks (fixed/stall) Selling time : 08.00-24.00 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : - Impact : The area in front of the shop was dusty during excavation and the contractors has been regular watered so that can be minimize dust pollution in the construction areas. Based on the interview result, income increased is about IDR 200,000 per day during construction due to
increased buyers from project workers. During construction, Bu Risna's shop was open. Mitigations that have been done in Jl. Hati Mulia: • Material cleaning and watering Jl. Hati Mulia aftter road recondition / asphalting
• Contractor provided temporary access to the shops/business place during the works and implement traffic management and install road sign at construction site so it will not disturb existing traffic. • Contractor conducted socialization with the community before construction start and informed about project purpose and benefits, impacts and mitigation.

Beruang Business : Restaurant (Fixed building) Selling time : 09.00 – 18.00 (26 days in a month) Turnover/month : N/A Impact : No water pollution and shop cleanliness is not affected by construction waste. Dust in front of the shop is increased only during the excavation work and the contractors has been regular watered so that can be minimize dust pollution in the construction areas and front of shop 2. Name : Ibu Ria Nursyamsi Address : Jl. Beruang Business : Selling daily necessities (Fixed building) Selling time : 08.00 – 22.00 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : N/A Impact : During construction, Bu Ria Nursyamsi's shop was open. No data given by the AP on the turnover of the shop. However, based on
the interview result, turnover increased Rp 300,000 per day from the project workers. 3. Name : Bapak Sudomo Address : Jl. Beruang Business : Cafe (Fixed building) Selling time : 06.00 – 22.00 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : 120,000,000-150,000,000 Impact : There was temporary restriction to cafe, but only for 1 day during open trench activities. During construction, Mr.Sudomo's Café remained open. his income was relatively the same as before construction. 4. Name : Bapak Abadi Address : Jl. Beruang Business : Restaurant (Fixed) Selling time : 06.00 – 17.30 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : N/A
Impact : The area in front of the restaurant is dusty during excavation and the contractors has been regular watered so that can be minimize dust pollution in the front of the restro. However, the restaurant remains open and earning the same as before construction. . Mitigations that have been done in Jl. Beruang: • Watering during construction • Installation of traffic signs
• Cleaning of sewers from sludge and garbage collection 3. The total duration for installation pipe along 91 m is 20 days. Affected Persons/Households: 1. Name : Dion Ilham Address : Jl. Onta Baru Business : Restaurant (Fixed building) Selling time : 10.00 – 21.00 Turnover/month : Rp 30,000,000 Impact : During construction, Mr. Dion's restaurant was open as usual and earning the same as before construction. Dust increased in the excavated area in front of his shop and contractor regular watered at construction areas so that minimiaze dust pollution front of restro.

During construction, Siti’s shop remains open the contractors has been regular watered and provide access to the shop, and earning the same as before construction. 3. Name : Helmon Address : Jl. Onta Baru Business : Package delivery (Fixed building) Selling time : 08.45-21.15 (26 days in a month) Turnover/month : Rp 18,200,000 Impact : Dust and reduced parking access. During construction, Helmon's business was open and customers can park in front of next building and the contractors has been regular watered so that can be minimize dust pollution front of office and earning the same as before construction. .

During construction, Hamzah's business activities were open. the contractor has been regular watered so that can be minimize the dust pollution front of the shop, and earning the same as before construction. Positive impact mentioned is increased number of customers from project workers. During construction, Mr. Pudin's food shop remained open. 2. Name : Muhamad Nani Address : Jl. Serigala Business : Groceries (Fixed building) Selling time : 08.00-22.00 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : Rp 9,000,000 Impact : Limited access to the shop. the contractor has been provided temporary access to the shop and the duration of the disturbance is only 1 day, there is increased buyers from project workers. During construction, the shop was still open.

Serigala Lorong Business : Groceries (Fixed building) Selling time : 06.00 – 22.00 Turnover/month : Rp 10,000,000 Impact : Increased buyers from project workers and she is happy with the project due to it will reduce drinking water pollution in densely populated residential location. During the construction, Mrs. Sinta's store remained open. 4. Name : Marta Address : Jl. Serigala Business : Satay (Fixed building) Selling time : 07.00 – 22.00 Turnover/month : Rp 15,000,000 Impact : Less parking space during excavation work. the contractor have provided temporary access to the shop During construction,
Marta’s shop remained open. Many workers shopped in her place but no info on the income before and after construction. 5. Name : Sefanya Address : Jl. Serigala Business : Selling fried rice (Cart) Selling time : 09.00-20.00 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : Rp 9,000,000 Impact : Dust. The contractor regular watered the construction areas. He keeps selling during the construction and income remained the same as before construction. Mitigations that have been done in Jl. Serigala: • Road have been reconditioned.
• Cleaning of remaining material • Installed road signs and provided access roads • Conducted socialization with the community before construction start and informed about project purpose and benefits, impacts and mitigation.

Jl Kancil Utara ✓ MH 6260 – MH 6277 ✓ Status: recondition done until concrete ✓ Open Trench PVC pipe dia. 200 mm ✓ Length of pipe installation = 208 m, COI =1.25 m ✓ The duration of disturbance for open trench work is 1 day for 30 m (includes excavation, pipe installation and closure).The total duration for installation pipe along 208 m is 12 days. 1. Name : Naharia Address : Jl. Kancil Utara Business : Groceries (Fixed building) Selling time : 07.00-20.00 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : Rp 9,000.000 Impact : Dust but no major impact during the construction, the contractor regular watered so that can be minimize dust pollution at construction areas, Positive impact mentioned by the AP during the interview is that many project workers bought in her shop. During construction, Naharia’s shop remained open. 2. Name : Rosmawati Address : Jl. Kancil Utara Business : Groceries (Fixed building) Selling time : 07.00-22.00 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : Rp 30,000,000 Impact : Less parking space during excavation work and dust. the contractor has been provided parking areas at next building and regular watered so that can be minimize dust pollution at construction areas and access to the shop remains open, Positive impact mentioned by the AP during the interview is that many project workers bought in her shop. The total duration for installation pipe along 77 m is 3 days. ✓ Affected Persons/Households: 1. Name : Jumriani Address : Jl. Mappanyuki Business : Drink and snacks (Fixed building) Selling time : 06.00-18.00 (30 days in a month) Turnover/month : IDR 15.000.000 Impact : There was access limitation to the shop. During construction, the shop remained open and earning the same as before construction. Conclusion 1. During construction, there has been disturbance of accessibility to business areas, public facilities and residential areas. 2. Other construction impacts on residents near by construction areas are dust, noise increased and damage to existing roads. 3. The business owner has been interviewed, consists of 19 females and 21 males, generally in the productive age (20-50 years), but there are 3 people aged over 60 years.
