ABOUT XCL CAMPS XCL Camps presents students with a collection of exciting and engaging programmes to continue their journey of learning and discovery, and to level-up their holidays. The mission of XCL Camps is to enhance our students' self-discovery process, offer avenues to develop their potential, and provide opportunities for them to forge strong social connections. We aim to accomplish this not just with great learning experiences, but also with personalised, 1-on-1 support from our teachers and camp staff. Our camps are delivered in partnership with best-in-class instructor partners that have been carefully vetted, and proven through experience working with them over time. This is done to ensure that our students have access to the most fun, engaging, and innovative camps on the island.

The pick-up and drop-off points include Newton, Novena, Orchard Rd, Tanjong Rhu, Farrer Rd, Sentosa, Buona Vista, Great World City, Bishan, Marine Parade, Sembawang and Holland Village. For this dedicated and safe bus service, the charge is $100 per week for each child. MULTI-ACTIVITY AGES 3 TO 8 MONDAY TO FRIDAY 9AM TO 3PM $625 Crammed full of different activities to keep kids learning and having fun across different disciplines this summer. Multi-Activity is a balance of educational and creative classes including Soccer, Tennis, Basketball, Art, Drama and Yoga. CAMP DETAILS If you’re looking for activities in Singapore that can keep your super energetic child stay engaged and stimulated, this is the perfect option for you. If you are unsure about which specific camp to enrol your child in, this camp would also suit you. Our Multi-Activity camp has a wide range of activities for each of the two age groups, covering a range of activities from sports to performing arts and visual arts. MULTI-ACTIVITY CAMP INSTRUCTOR Our Multi-Activity camps are run by external vendors such as XLab, Arts Impression, TFL and Coerver. These vendors have many years of experience in running holiday camps for kids. They have been carefully selected based on their capabilities and past records in running camps and other enrichment activities. CAMP DETAILS DATES: 21–25 JUN 5–9 JUL 19–23 JUL This full day camp is designed for children between the ages of 7 to 10 years old who are passionate about LEGO® and robotics, as well as animation and video editing. Children will be doing robotics for the first half session and animation for the second half. During the Lego session, children will be introduced to LEGO NXT/ EV3 and explore all the fun and mechanics that LEGO NXT/ EV3 has to offer. As they build and program different robotics projects using LEGO® and Mindstorms, children get to learn about mathematical and scientific concepts, basic programming aspects, as well as teamwork and leadership skills that can be directly applied to the real world. All while having fun! During the animation session, children will learn how to plan and film their own LEGO movie using StopMotion and edit their video with sound effects and music and see their story come to life! CHEF ACADEMY CAMP INSTRUCTORS CHEF EMMANUEL STROOBANT Chef Emmanuel Stroobant is the executive chef and owner of a 2- Michelin starred restaurant called Saint Pierre. He is an author of two cookbooks, Cuisine Unplugged and Vine Dining – White and has his own television series, Chef in Black, Chef in Black II and 36 Ways to Live. A keynote speaker at conferences in Singapore, such as Food That Heals, and in the region, Emmanuel is a passionate advocate of mindfulness and healthy living. HEAD INSTRUCTOR: CHEF GENE MOK Gene is an all-round F&B specialist, having taken on multiple roles as a culinarian and manager. His 15-year career started in the kitchen at Saint Pierre. With his entrepreneurial spirit, Gene successfully operated his eponymous "Selfish Gene Cafe" for 6 years. The cafe offered fresh, quality dishes imbued with familiar, local flavours using French culinary techniques. Gene holds a B.A. in Psychology from the National University of Singapore and is trained at the famous culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu, Sydney. ASST. INSTRUCTOR: CHEF GABRIEL LOW Chef Gabriel Low, or Gaby as he is affectionately known, is a seasoned culinary professional with 20 years of experience in both restaurants and hotels. The programme is centered on the learning experience rather that the execution of a performance. GRADE 6 - 8 EAL CAMP: The G6-G8 EAL students will improve their English language skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary) through a variety of high-energy activities that will help build their confidence while having fun at the same time. Some of the activities will include writing and recording a news report, debating, English script-writing, story-boarding and short film making, blogging and presentations. The G6-G8 camp is intended for EAL students with an Overall Aptis score of B1 and below.

MOLONEY Mr. Moloney is the Head of the EAL Department in the Secondary Years and the Grade 7 Pastoral Leader at GEMS World Academy. He is originally from Ireland and has experience teaching students ranging from Grade 1 right through to the university level. Mr. Moloney previously taught EAL students in Malaysia and Qatar. He has visited more than 50 countries and territories around the world. His favourite hobbies include reading, writing, hiking, travelling and long-distance touring on his motorcycle. Mr. Moloney is married and has a young son called Cillian. Mr. Moloney believes in the magic of reading and encourages his students to read for pleasure. “If children develop the consistent habit of reading for pleasure then they will be well equipped to become life-long readers and learners. Our XSports camp encourages children to consciously develop physical mastery, grit, curiosity and interpersonal skills, while having lots of fun and expending their boundless energy! Kids start the morning with yoga, allowing them to warm up both body and mind for the day’s activities, and set their individual goals for the day. Then it’s time for some teamwork and discovery, with land-based morning activities focusing on building their fundamental movement skills. Kids will increasingly build their body awareness, balance, reflexes and ball control, while also practice teamwork and communication with their new friends. While the skills gained during these sessions will be helpful for kids in any sport, our two-week program culminates in an exciting game of floorball, one of the fastest growing sports worldwide that is also rapidly gaining popularity in Singapore!
