SIMPLIFY YOUR MORNINGS!
Contest Rules
1. The Contest « Simplify your mornings! » is being held in the IGA, IGA extra and IGA
Coop of Quebec and New-Brunswick in collaboration with Sobey Capital Inc. (the
"Contest Organizer"). The Contest starts on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 12:01 a.m
(ET), and ends on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at store closing time or 11:59 p.m.
(ET) at the latest, whichever comes first (the "Contest Period").
For the purposes of this Contest, The Minute Maid Company Canada Inc. is merely the
supplier of the Prizes and is in no way responsible for the administration, execution or
fulfilment of the Contest. Each entrant hereby completely releases The Minute Maid
Company Canada Inc. of all liability in connection with this Contest.
ELIGIBILITY
2. The Contest is open to Quebec and New Brunswick residents who have reach the age of
the majority and who are enrolled in the AIR MILES®* Reward Program with the exception
of employees of the Contest Organizer, and all IGA, IGA coop and IGA extra stores, their
subsidiaries, affiliated companies, representatives, franchisees, authorized agents or
successors, advertising agencies, suppliers of the Prizes (including The Minute Maid
Company Canada Inc.), and anyone with whom the abovementioned reside.
*To enter the contest at participating IGA, IGA coop and IGA extra supermarkets, you must have
a valid AIR MILES collector number. If you do not have an AIR MILES collector number, you
can get an AIR MILES card at the customer service counter at a participating IGA supermarket
and complete your collector profile by visiting the AIRMILES.ca website or calling AIR MILES
Customers Care at 1-888-AIR MILES (1-888-247-6453). It is also possible to register for the AIR
MILES reward program at www.AIRMILES.ca. Enrolment is free. Participants must ensure that
the address and phone number that appear on their AIR MILES account are correct.
HOW TO ENTER
3. You will automatically be entered each time you purchase one (1) participating product
and present your AIR MILES® Card.
You will get one (1) entry for each purchase of one (1) participating product of the brand
Simply. See the Appendix for the list of participating products.
4. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter without making a purchase, hand-write a letter
of about 50 words in which you tell us what is your favourite smoothie recipe. Include
your AIR MILES collector number, full name, and contact information, and mail it to
"Simplify your mornings!", Sobeys Québec inc., c/o Audrey Dubois, 11,281 boulevard
Albert-Hudon, Montréal-Nord, Québec, H1G 3J5. Requests for entry without purchase
must be received no later than September 23, 2020.
1DRAW
5. The draws will take place at 11:00 a.m. (ET) on September 30th 2020 and will be done at
Sobeys Quebec office located at 11281 boulevard Albert-Hudon, Montreal-Nord, Quebec, H1G
3J5.
Five (5) eligible entries will be selected at random from among all entries received at
participating IGA, IGA coop and IGA extra supermarkets and all no-purchase entries
received by mail.
Limit one (1) prize per person and per residence,
PRIZES
6. There are five (5) prizes to be won during “Simplify your mornings” Contest.
Each Prize consists of one (1) Blender – Vitamix Ascent Series A3500. Each Prize has an
approximate value of $819.95 before taxes.
6.1. All other expenses incurred in connection with the acceptance of the prize will be assumed by
the winner. The total approximate retail value of all prizes for this Contest is $4,099.75 before
taxes. The Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable, assignable or convertible
to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by The Minute Maid Company Canada Inc. in its
sole and absolute discretion). The characteristics and features of each Prize element, unless
otherwise explicitly described above, are at The Minute Maid Company Canada Inc.’s sole
discretion. No substitutions except at The Minute Maid Company Canada Inc.’s option. The Minute
Maid Company Canada Inc. reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute any
Prize with a prize or prizes of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but at The Minute
Maid Company Canada Inc.’s sole and absolute discretion, a cash award.
ODDS OF WINNING
7. The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received at all
participating IGA, IGA coop and IGA extra supermarkets and all no-purchase entries
received by mail in accordance with these contest rules.
CONTACT WITH SELECTED ENTRANTS.
8. Winners will be contacted at the phone numbers listed in their AIR MILES ® accounts.
The Contest Organizer is not liable for the accuracy of the information in such accounts.
Entrants are at all times responsible for updating their contact information.
Before being entitled to a prize, in addition to meeting the Contest eligibility criteria and
complying with the Rules, the selected winner must:
A) Answer the phone call from the Contest promotional agent
B) Correctly answer a mathematical question during the call
C) Sign a declaration and waiver form
2Disqualification.
If a selected winner cannot be reached by phone after three (3) attempts by the Contest
promotional agent, or does not meet every one of the conditions set out in these Rules,
he or she will be disqualified and will not be able to receive any Prize. In such cases the
Contest Organizer reserve the right at their sole and entire discretion to draw another
winning entry or cancel the Prize.
9. By entering this Contest and accepting a prize, the winner:
A) Confirms compliance with these Contest Rules
B) Accepts the prize as awarded and
C) releases the Contest Organizers and their partner, all participating IGA, IGA coop and
IGA extra stores, LoyaltyOne, Co., their subsidiaries, affiliated companies, representatives,
franchisees, advertising agencies and prize suppliers (including The Minute Maid Company
Canada Inc.), as well as each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents,
representatives, successors and assigns (collectively referred to as the "Releasees") from any
liability with regard to this Contest, the winner’s participation and/or the awarding and use
and/or misuse of the prize or part of the prize.
GENERAL RULES
11. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to comply with the official Contest rules and
respect any decisions by the Contest Organizer, which are final.
12. The Releasees assume no responsibility for any Prizes that are not claimed on time or
are refused, and will not be held liable for any obligations related to the Prizes, including their
delivery.
13. The Releasees may not be held liable for the use of Prizes awarded for this Contest and
assume no responsibility pertaining to the Prizes or events that result from the Contest.
They are not liable for any printing, distribution, or production errors, and reserve the
right, at their sole discretion and without any obligation or notice, to terminate or withdraw
any contest containing such errors.
14. All entries become the property of Sobeys Capital Inc. and correspondence will be
initiated only with selected entrants. Winners consent to the use of their name,
photograph, image, statements concerning the prize, place of residence, and/or their
voice for advertising purposes without any form of compensation, and this, at their
discretion and without limit as to the period of use, in any media, worldwide, for
advertising purposes or any other purpose.
15. For the purposes of these rules, the entrant is the person whose name appears on the
AIR MILES card in the case of automatic entry and entry received by mail. If selected,
this person will be awarded the Prize and declared the winner.
316. In the event that a Prize or part of a Prize is not available for any reason, the Contest
Organizer reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to award a similar prize of equal
value. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not
be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
17. After the winners have been awarded their Prizes, the Releasees will not be responsible
for store closings, changes in ownership, or management, labour disputes or any other
situations that may directly or indirectly affect the winners’ Prizes.
18. The Releasees cannot be held liable for any lost, misdirected or destroyed entries, the
loss or theft of electronic data or information, any material, software, or computer
program damage, or any other problem that would prevent them from holding the draw as
scheduled.
19. The Contest Organizer reserve the right, at his sole discretion, to cancel, terminate,
modify, or suspend, the Contest, in whole or in part, in the event of an occurrence or any
human intervention that corrupts or adversely affects the administration, security,
impartiality, or normal operation of the Contest, subject to the approval of Régie des
alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, where applicable. In all cases, the Organizer
shall not be required to award more than one prize or award a prize other than that
specified in the Rules.
20. This Contest is managed by Sobeys Capital Inc. only. LoyaltyOne, Co. and The Minute
Maid Company Canada Inc. cannot be held responsible for anything relating to the
holding of the Contest and play no role whatsoever in managing this Contest. The Minute
Maid Company Canada Inc. finances only the Prizes and is not a Contest Organizer.
21. This Contest is subject to all provincial and federal laws as well as all relevant municipal
regulations.
22. If any clause of these Rules is ruled to be illegal, unenforceable or void by a court of
competent jurisdiction, that clause will be considered null, but all the other clauses will
continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
23. Quebec residents: Disputes regarding the organization or conduct of a promotional
contest may be submitted to Régie des alcools, des courses et jeux du Québec for a
ruling. Disputes regarding the awarding of prizes may also be submitted to the Régie, but
only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
