INTRODUCTION • Shaw Communications Inc. is a leading Canadian connectivity company providing residential customers with broadband Internet, Shaw Go WiFi, video and digital phone and business customers with Internet, data, WiFi, digital phone and video services. The Wireless division provides wireless voice and LTE data services through an expanding and improving mobile wireless network infrastructure • Shaw is actively expanding its network infrastructure in British Columbia to better enable access to high speed internet and cellular service • We would like to provide an overview of the Shaw network in B.C. as well as an update on service within the Regional District of East Kootenay 2

SHAW CONTINUES TO INVEST IN RDEK • Fibre+ Gigabit Speeds In May 2020, Shaw upgraded the network to offer Fibre+ Gig speeds in urban areas, like Cranbrook as well as smaller communities like Wasa and Canal Flats • Network upgrades continue to increase upload speeds • Shaw Mobile In Cranbrook, Shaw launched Freedom Mobile LTE cellular service in 2019 and Shaw Mobile in July 2020 • Expanding wireless LTE footprint continues with new sites in Kimberley and south of Cranbrook 7
