"Every element has a history and the potential for a new life," says Hogan, “All it takes is a little bit of imagination.” Hogan has sculpted all his life but a winter welding course at the National Art School in Sydney in 2012 and working as a studio assistant to fellow sculptor Harrie Fasher, inspired him to establish a full time arts practice. Hogan won Bathurst Regional Council’s Waste to Art Competition 3D section in 2012 and 2013. His work has been included in numerous sculptural exhibitions including Sculpture at Sawmillers, Sculpture by the Sea (Bondi), Sculpture Bermagui and Sculpture in the Gardens (Mudgee) where last year, he won the major acquisition prize.
