GOVERNANCE FOR CRVS AND SDGS CIVIL REGISTRATION AND VITAL STATISTICS (CRVS) FOR MONITORING SDGS A well-functioning CRVS systems play importance role, directly and indirectly in monitoring and achieving SDG goals, targets and indicators. The fundamental principles behind CRVS are in line with the SDGs, including the objective to support good governance and to promote inclusion in the country. CRVS’ RELEVANCE TO MONITORING CRVS’ IMPORTANCE IN THE NATIONAL PROGRESS TOWARDS THE SUSTAINABLE SDGs ARE NATIONAL COMMITMENT CONTEXT DEVELOPMENT GOALS AND INTEGRATED IN 11MP (Source: The World Bank) 5 MALAYSIA has made a commitment to Components in CRVS SDGs the 2030 Agenda with 17 Goals, 169 Birth Cause of Death Targets and 244 Indicators to measures CRVS the country development from 2016 to 2030.
