MEET The GAFFER Danny Bailey in profile Danny began his career in football as an apprentice with Bournemouth, turning professional and making his league debut in the 1980–81 season. After only one further league appearance for Bournemouth, he dropped out of league football, joining Dagenham. He later joined Walthamstow Avenue, from whom he joined Torquay United on a free transfer in March 1984. His only league appearance for the Gulls came during the 1983–84 season, a 2–1 defeat away to Hartlepool United on 17 March. In 1984, Bailey moved to Grays Athletic. He subsequently joined Wealdstone from Wembley and in August 1989, returned to league football with Exeter City, again on a free transfer. His career took off, quickly establishing himself in the side, and after 64 league games, in which he scored two goals, he moved to Reading in December 1990 for a fee of £50,000 as the first signing under new owner John Madejski. In his first season and a half at Reading, he played 50 league games, scoring twice. However, out of the first team at the beginning of the 1992–93 season, he was loaned to Fulham making three league appearances. Still unable to break back into the Reading line-up, he returned to Exeter City on a free transfer in December 1992, and quickly re-established himself at St. James Park. In the summer of 1997, he was released after 152 further league appearances in which he scored four goals. Continued ..........
He joined Farnborough Town, beginning a journey around various non-league sides, quickly moving on to Slough Town in the 1997 close season. He remained at Slough until the end of the 1997–98 season, scoring one goal in the FA Trophy, but was one of many players sacked during a summer that saw Slough in deep financial trouble and eventually voted out of the Conference. He joined Telford United on a short-term contract on 21 August 1998, with the e mphasis on the short-term. He moved to Forest Green Rovers in September 1998, playing in the 1999 FA Trophy final, at which time "Non-League on the Net" r eported that he was based in London, where he owned his own fitness centre. In the close-season of 1999 he was released by Forest Green, joining Welling United on 29 July 1999. "The Kentish Times" linked him with moves to Basingstoke Town in December 1999, and Crawley Town in January 2000, however he remained at Welling and was released in the summer of 2000. In September 2000 he returned on a free t ransfer to play for Forest Green Rovers. In December 2000, he left Forest Green for a second time, moving to Aylesbury United, though he stayed only a few months at Aylesbury, moving to Grays Athletic in February 2001. He later played for Weston-super-Mare before joining Bath City in March 2002. He was released at the end of the season and joined Redbridge from where he joined Weymouth in November 2002,[8] playing regularly until the end of the season. He was without a club from August 2003 to November 2003 when he joined Chippenham Town. He later played for Stansted from where he joined Chesham United in December 2005, playing nine times until mid-February. He later joined Ware. In March 2008 he became first team coach at Potters Bar Town. Danny had spells Playing at other senior clubs, before setting up his Bailey Elite Coaching Centre with his brothers, and still plays to this day. The story goes on.
New Salamis Football Club History New Salamis FC were formed in 1971 by fans of Cypriot club Nea Salamis Famagusta, with the Cypriot based club acting as a parent club to their fans in the UK. Playing in the KOPA (Cypriot Football League) a British League set-up for Cypriots in London, the club won countless honours and left the league in season 2017/18 as the leagues most successful team, winning 12 League Titles. The club also won a record 7 London County Cups. In the 2015/16 season the club won the FA Sunday Cup, following a 1-1 draw with Barnes at Selhurst Park and winning on penalties. In 2016/17 the club lost to Hardwick Social Club on penalties again following a 1-1 draw, at Brammall Lane. Many of the players still play for the team today. In 2018/19 we moved into the Herts County Senior League, playing our matches at Enfield Town FC. In our first season we won the presitgous Aubrey Cup Final, and also acheived promotion to the Spartan South Midlands League, after finishing runners up. Season 2019/20 saw us participate in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One at Step 6, our ambition to achieve promotion to Step 5. In March 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, we sat top of the certain of a top four finish and promotion. We also were the top scorers in all top 10 Divisions as the season was null and voided. Last season saw the team reach the first round of the FA Cup, in our first season, and when the season was curtailed in November , we had managed to amas enough points to be promoted to the Premier Division on points per game over two season, this season sees a new chapter.

Flackwell Heath • Club History Flackwell Heath FC was founded in 1907 and the club joined the High Wycombe and District League for its inaugural season. The Heathens proved to be a major force in local football, having won twelve Wycombe League championship titles and fourteen High Wycombe Senior Challenge Cup finals. In the 1950’s Flackwell joined the Great Western Combination League and won this league twice before returning to the Wycombe League. In 1956 the club moved to its current home, the new ground being donated by the Wilks family. Through the 60s and 70's the club continued their success on and off field and the new clubhouse was built in 1974 as the first stage of their rise into senior football. In 1975 The Heathens won the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup and the Reading Senior Cup. In 1977 the club achieved Senior status and moved up into the Hellenic League Division One. Promotion to the Premier Division was achieved at the first attempt. After five seasons in this league, during which time floodlights were installed at Wilks Park, Flackwell were elected into the Athenian League. In 1984 they joined the expanding Isthmian League. The clubs first season in this competition saw them playing in Division Two (North) and against some tough opposition they finished in a respectable eighth position. The following season Flackwell was switched to Division Two (South) where life turned out to be even tougher. At the end of season 1990-91, after finishing below mid- table, The Heathens found themselves placed in the newly formed Ryman League Division Three. At this stage the club installed a 150 seater stand to stay in senior football, and new home changing rooms were built to comply with new ground gradings. For the next 10 years the club carried out further ground improvements and they established themselves in senior football. In 2002/03 for the first time in their history Flackwell reached the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup losing 4-1 at home against Crawley and finished third in the newly formed Ryman League Division Two, the highest position achieved to date. n season 2004/05 The Heathens reached the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup for the second time in three years, this time losing 3-0 at Ryman Premier Division Billericay Town and were runners-up in the Ryman League Associate Members Cup, losing 2-1 after extra time to Division Two champions Ilford on their own ground. Flackwell finished fourth in Ryman League Division Two in 2005/06, narrowly missing out on promotion. After the end of 2006/07 the FA reorganised the non-league pyramid and we were due to be relegated into the South Midlands Spartan League until Barking and East Ham United went out of business and we were given the opportunity to take their place in the Ryman Division One (North). Unfortunately we finished bottom of the league and were relegated into the Hellenic Premier Division for season 2008/09. The 2014/15 season saw us gain promotion into the Southern League Division 1. However, a late move by the Southern League of us from the Central Division into the South West Division meant FHFC were unable to accept promotion and we stayed in the Hellenic League Premier Division for season 2015-16. 2014-15 also saw us with places in the final of the Berks & Bucks Trophy (losing to Windsor FC) and the High Wycombe Senior Challenge Cup (winning against Penn & Tylers Green FC). Earlier that season we reached the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup losing to Conference side Weston Supermare 4-1. For the first time in club history we also reached the last sixteen of the FA Vase losing 3-2 to Shaw Lane Aquaforce. 2015/16 season under the continued management of Graham Malcolm assisted by Paul Shone saw us finish 3rd in the Hellenic League also winning 3 cup finals – the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy (against Newport Pagnell FC), the Uhlsport Challenge Cup (against Brackley Town Saints) and the Wycombe Senior Cup (against Pitstone and Ivinghoe FC).
