Safety Information Presentation Welcome to the Team! Grape Picking Harvest 2021 We hope this season is abundant and you enjoy your time picking grapes with us In this session we will provide information in order to: Deliver an introduction to Vinepower Margaret River Explain what to expect at the Contract Appointment Provide safety information presentation to help you perform your role in a safe manner and better understand & enjoy your work environment This is an introduction - Your supervisor will provide training throughout the Grape Picking Season 2

General Information Contract Appointment – At the Office We look forward to meeting you at the Contract Appointment at our office in Margaret River. At the appointment you will be provided with the Vinepower Contract which includes the following documents: Section A – Personal Details Section B – Piecework Agreement Details Section C – Random Drug & Alcohol Monitoring Policy Section D – Employment Declaration Section E – Employee Information & Safety Questionnaire Working Holiday Makers/Employer Declaration Form (WHV holders only) TFN Declaration Work Experience Confirmation You will also be required to complete our New Employee COVID-19 Questionnaire & Declaration 4
General Information Contract Appointment – At the Office Grape Picking Tool Kit You will require the following items for the Picking Season: Vinepower Hi-Vis Safety Vest Safety Glasses Grape Picking Snips You will be provided with a Vinepower Hi-Vis Safety Vest and can purchase the grape picking snips & safety glasses from us at your appointment at a cost of $20.00, payable upon purchase. Or alternatively you can purchase them elsewhere. If you do decide to buy your own tools please bring them to the contract appointment so we can ensure you have all the correct tools to start picking. The Vinepower Hi-Vis Vest is provided as part of your engagement with us (free of charge). We have a ‘recycle and reuse’ scheme so if you return the vest in a reusable condition, we will give you a Vest Return Bonus of $5.00. Unfortunately, not all vests can be recycled and reused and so may not attract this bonus but we encourage you to present with your vest at the end of the season and give it a go! And thank you for participating in this scheme. 5

Hand Picking Of Wine Grapes – Safety Information Grape picking is a strenuous task involving lifting, bending, squatting and selective cutting of grapevine bunches. All tasks are done fast and usually in the sun. It is a strenuous task that is not suitable for everyone. Please let us know if you struggle with this task and don’t feel suitable for the hand picking of wine grapes. Your onsite supervisor is there to train and support you. Potential Hazards Every effort is made to protect our workers from the potential hazards of Grape Picking and the best place to start is to help you understand the possible risks whilst working in the various vineyards in the region. This includes: • Personal injury to yourself or fellow worker from use of picking snips • Being run over by a tractor or other machinery at the work site or another worker in their own car whilst parking or moving around the site • Slips, trips and falls. Repetitive Task Strain & Sprains. Use correct manual handling • Eye damage – MUST wear safety glasses at all times whilst working in the vines • Exposure to the sun – be sun safe and use sun protection, including a wide brimmed hat • Dehydration. Bring lots of water! You may not be located close to the onsite water supply • Bee & wasp stings. Spider & snake bites • Bushfire – there is a TOTAL FIRE BAN from December to March. Report any sightings of smoke or fire IMMEDIATELY 7
Hand Picking Of Wine Grapes – Safety Information PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) Workers are required to wear PPE for protection from the potential hazards of wine grape picking. The minimum PPE required for the task of wine grape picking is as follows: VINEPOWER HI-VIS VEST WIDE BRIMMED HAT SAFETY GLASSES SUN SCREEN CLOSED SHOES SUN PROTECTIVE CLOTHING The Vinepower Hi-Vis Safety Vest is provided at your Contract Appointment. Safety Glasses are available to purchase. Safety gloves are optional and also available from Vinepower if required 8
Hand Picking Of Wine Grapes – General Information GENERAL PRE-OPERATIONAL INFORMATION General information before you start work • Ensure you follow the instructions of the SMS received from Vinepower each afternoon with work details including: – DATE OF WINE GRAPE PICKING DAY – TIME YOU ARE REQUIRED TO MEET AT THE VINEPOWER OFFICE (OR WORK LOCATION) – TEAM NUMBER OF THE TEAM YOU HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED TO FOR THE DAY • You will be arriving at the Vinepower office at sunrise when visibility is reduced. Take care driving to work. There are many potential hazards such as kangaroos and other cars. • Ensure you are aware of the designated car parking areas at the office • When walking across to the Vinepower Office be aware of other vehicles driving along Fearn Avenue 9
Hand Picking Of Wine Grapes – Safety Information GENERAL PRE-OPERATIONAL INFORMATION General information before you start work continued… • Wear adequate and appropriate PPE as instructed. Vinepower and our clients have strict safety regulations. For your own safety, you will not be able to pick if you do not bring and have the correct PPE • Do not leave personal property at the end of vine rows as they will become obstacles for tractor and machinery operations • Ensure you are aware of tractor movements and other machinery operations at all times • You must have a minimum of 2 litres of water each day and food for a Full Day • NO smoking. Smoking is prohibited at all vineyards due to fire risk • Always ask your Supervisor if you are unsure about any elements of grape picking procedures • Please do not leave site without reporting to your Supervisor and returning your picking tickets 10
Hand Picking Of Wine Grapes – Standard Operating Procedures STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES – AT THE VINEPOWER OFFICE Come early to the office! 1. Park your car in the designated car park only Do not park on the road or along the road edge. It is very dangerous and you can fined without warning. We have a well organised traffic management plan that leaves from the top car park in a line. Information regarding car parking can be found in this presentation and on the Vinepower office noticeboards 2. Check the Board Lists for your name and team number Apply Hand Sanitiser at the office entry point. Look for your Team number on the noticeboard and identify your Supervisor – the name will be detailed on the Board List 3. At the front counter, check in for the day Approach the front service counter and state their name and team number to be checked off by the front desk supervisor. You are requested to indicate your availability as stated by ticking the corresponding tick box and then initial the sheet. Remember good hygiene and have minimal contact with surfaces in the office 4. Wait until your team number is called out Leave the office via designated exit point and then assemble in the arcade (open air environment) next to the Vinepower Office. We request you to stand on the fountain side if you have a car or an organised lift. Please stand on the wall and window side if you need a lift to the vineyard. Stay alert and communicate with your Supervisor! 11
Hand Picking Of Wine Grapes – Standard Operating Procedures STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES – TRAVEL TO THE VINEYARD 1. When directed by your Supervisor, leave in a car convoy When you leave in a car convoy make sure you identify which cars are in your team and who to follow If you are the driver, stay within visible distance to that car, drive very carefully and wear your seatbelt. The supervisor will be in the front car with flashing lights. Be aware of other pickers and other cars whilst driving. The long car trails can be hazardous so please concentrate If you are a passenger, travel safely in the vehicle and wear your seatbelt at all times Vinepower has a voluntary car sharing system in place to assist all workers to Access team placement. However, Vinepower Margaret River accepts no responsibility or liability for any injury or damage to the driver, passengers, third parties, vehicles or other property 12
Hand Picking Of Wine Grapes – Standard Operating Procedures STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES – AT THE VINEYARD 1. Park your car in the designated parking area only When you arrive at the vineyard, park your vehicle in designated parking spots only or as instructed by a supervisor. Sign in with the Supervisor at site 2. Collect Picking Tickets You must obtain a packet of plastic tickets from your Supervisor and make sure your FULL NAME and ticket code is clearly recorded on your Supervisor’s picking sheet before you start picking. This is required for ALL grape picking regardless of the pay method (hourly and piece rate) 3. Proceed to vineyard block Proceed to the vineyard blocks and vine rows, as directed by your Supervisor 4. Take care of your personal property It is best to leave personal property in your vehicles (except water). If you bring items into the vines place your equipment, water bottles etc. at the end of rows and away from machinery operations so tractors etc. do not run them over 5. Ensure all your equipment is in good working order Any concerns should be reported to your supervisor immediately. Do not use any equipment that is not in good working order – your Supervisor will have spare equipment available 13
Hand Picking Of Wine Grapes – Standard Operating Procedures STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES – AT THE VINEYARD 6. Pick Grape Bunches To pick a grape bunch, hold the bunch in one hand and snip whole bunches from the vine by cutting the bunch stalk with the snips Only ever pick from a trellis post to a trellis post When picking grapes you will need to work with a partner opposite you. You will share the fruit between you Make sure all the clean healthy bunches are picked Do not leave any good grapes You need to pick even the smallest bunches Only clean, disease free fruit is to be placed in buckets No leaves, twigs or mouldy fruit are to be in the buckets. Vinepower Supervisors and Vineyard Managers can help monitor the picking quality and can assist if you require guidance 14
Hand Picking Of Wine Grapes – Standard Operating Procedures STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES – AT THE VINEYARD 7. Place the grapes in the buckets For each bucket of grapes that you pick the plastic ticket needs to be placed clearly visible in the centre of the bucket on top of the grapes. This is required for ALL grape picking regardless of the pay method (hourly and piece rate) It is also very important as the bucket hands may not be employed by Vinepower and we want to ensure you are paid for all the buckets you pick when working on piece rate. Please make sure your ticket can be easily seen and picked up by the bucket hand. PLACE THE FULL BUCKET UNDER THE GRAPEVINES AWAY FROM THE TRACTOR PATHWAY 8. BUCKETS MUST BE FULL Please make sure the fruit height is above the rim of the bucket. 15

Calculation of Bucket Rate When working on piece rate the Bucket Rate is determined by our Operations Manager taking into consideration many variables including: – Vine Density – Fruit Yield – Row Lengths – How easy the fruit is to access – Bunch Size We offer high bucket rates set prior to commencement of work and advised to all team members before picking. 10. Return of Unused Picking Tickets You must return any unused tickets and the rubber band to your Supervisor and let them know you have finished at the end of the day. You must not take any unused plastic tickets home with you. 16
Hand Picking Of Wine Grapes – Standard Operating Procedures STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES – AT THE VINEYARD 11. Do not touch anyone else’s picking tickets! If you see anyone doing this, please report it immediately to the Supervisor. This is dishonest behaviour and will not be tolerated at Vinepower 12. Report Injuries & Concerns If you hurt yourself in any manner (even the smallest cut) you must report it to the Supervisor immediately. It is very important for us to know if you are injured and provide any assistance required. Please also report any injuries to fellow workers if necessary. If you have any concerns you can talk with your Supervisor or contact the friendly office staff 13. Remove rubbish from site Please take all your rubbish away with you. Do not leave any litter or plastic bottles etc. at the vineyard 14. Report to your supervisor when you have completed picking At completion of work for the day sign out with the Supervisor. Exit the vineyard or work site with care, adhere to speed limits and watch out for machinery and personnel movements 17
