STEMMING FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE IN THE
CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.
Our founders, brothers John and David Black, ran a successful carpentry business with over 100
employees. They soon realised working at height comes with hazards and noticed there was
a lack of safety equipment available to staff when working with large contractors, so they
started designing safety systems that eliminated these hazards by providing a safe work
platform above voids to prevent falls.
The first product launched in 2001 was the CoverSafe mat (formerly STS) which
features the patented Trellis system, a system which remains a key aspect of
many of our products today. Over the years we’ve launched a multitude
of innovative products designed to meet all safety concerns and
regulations while working at height, allowing work to go ahead
safely and to schedule.
In 2019 we were acquired by the world renowned safety
solutions and products company - Kee Safety Group.
