WELCOME The Motor Racing Legends team are so pleased to have you here with us at Silverstone today and I give you my whole hearted thanks for supporting our new venture. We are delighted to be bringing you the Royal Automobile Club Historic Tourist Trophy Meeting, having rescued the event from the ashes of the 2020 season. We have been overwhelmed by the enthusiastic reception from every direction. The existing sponsors of our Pre ’63 GT grid, DK Engineering have been instrumental in creating the race concept from the off and are generously sponsoring the event in full. The Royal Automobile Club have also been pivotal in the creation of this event and will be presenting the Historic Tourist Trophy for the winning team in the three-hour race. The original Tourist Trophy – the world’s longest continually-awarded trophy - has been brought up from the Club’s Head Quarters at Pall Mall and will be display in garage 15, do take time to go and see it. Long term supporters of Motor Racing Legends, the Traditional Oak and Timber Co. are also sponsoring the meeting. To support the three-hour race we are pleased to offer two one-hour races for the Royal Automobile Woodcote Trophy and Stirling Moss Trophy; and for the Historic Touring Car Challenge and Tony Dron Trophy with U2TC and Sixties Touring Car Challenge, sponsored by Silverstone Auctions, Ric Wood Motorsport and Prospect Brigstock Ltd. MSVR have provided their most excellent service behind the scenes to run the meeting on our behalf along with timekeeping from TSL and the ground team from REL Events. You might see some familiar faces working in the paddock from previous Silverstone Classic and Donington Historic Festival events. In summary, in just six weeks this event has come together and we are most grateful to those who have made it possible, not least the competitors and preparers who have supported the meeting in such great number. To note, this is also the first event that Motor Racing Legends has organised as its own stand-alone event so this is a historic moment in Motor Racing Legend’s history! Have a great and most importantly, safe, day’s racing. Best regards Duncan Wiltshire Chairman, Motor Racing Legends WWW.MOTORRACINGLEGENDS.COM 4 SILVERSTONE – 25 OCTOBER 2020
