SAFETY MATTERS

                  STAY SAFE
                WHEN YOUR CAR
                 BREAKS DOWN
Whether it’s due to a flat tyre, a mechanical breakdown or an empty fuel tank, do not
panic when your car starts showing signs of trouble. Wherever you are driving, follow
these seven steps to ensure that you and your fellow motorists stay safe.

1 GET OFF THE ROAD
As soon as you have any
indication of car trouble,
move your car to the side
of the road (on the left, if
you are in Singapore).

2 MAKE YOUR CAR AS
  VISIBLE AS POSSIBLE
Make your car visible by
activating your hazard
lights. When you exit, do
so on the passenger side,
if possible, away from
oncoming traffic.

3 GIVE EARLY WARNING
  TO OTHER MOTORISTS
If your car comes with a
warning sign or device,
place it at least three
cars’ length (or more, if
possible) behind your
car. This gives other
motorists early warning
that there is a broken-
down vehicle ahead. to arrive. Patience 6 KEEP YOURSELF SAFE 7 EXERCISE CAUTION

While most travellers enjoy exploring the

                       destination worth exploring.
