ANCILLARY EVENTS

HOLIDAY LIGHT DISPLAYS

Three neighborhoods in the Pasadena area feature annual holiday light displays from mid-December through Saturday,
January 1.

       CHRISTMAS TREE LANE (ALTADENA)
Enjoy three blocks of trees decorated with colored lights. From downtown Pasadena, drive north on Lake Ave.,
turn left on Woodbury and right on Santa Rosa to Altadena Dr. christmastreelane.net

       UPPER HASTINGS RANCH (PASADENA)
Each block of the area competes, creating displays with a common theme. Upper Hastings Ranch borders
Michillinda Ave. to the east, Sierra Madre Blvd. to the south, and Riviera Dr. to the west. From the 210 Freeway,
take Michillinda Blvd. north to the lights. upperhastingsranch.org

       ST. ALBANS ROAD (SAN MARINO)
This Road is the cousin to Christmas Tree Lane. From Upper Hastings Ranch, take Michillinda south to
Huntington Dr. and continue to St. Albans Road and turn right.

                                                                                                                      11
DECORATING PLACES (CANCELED)

This event has been canceled. Decorating places will not be available for public viewing, please refer to the next
section on volunteering opportunities for the Rose Parade.

                                                                                                                     12
VOLUNTEER TO DECORATE FLOATS
During the final stages of preparation, a variety of seeds, bark, fruits and vegetables, grasses and of course, flowers are
being applied to the floats by experienced professionals as well as hard working volunteers.

In most cases a 4-hour volunteer commitment is required. Most float builders have minimum age requirements,
typically at least 13 years old to participate and must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteer decorators will be
required to sign a waiver. Dress appropriately—float decorating can be messy, and you may get glue, paint and/or dirt
on your shoes and clothing. Wear old clothes and comfortable close-toed shoes and bring a jacket as it can get cool in
the evenings.

All volunteer decorating opportunities are organized directly by float builders and vary. Please visit each website for
requirements, scheduling and how to sign-up to volunteer.

SECURITY MEASURES

To provide a safe environment for fans, the following security measures may be in effect:
     • Searches and magnetometers at the entry gates will include inspection of all items that are
carried into the stadium. Patrons may be subject to metal detectors, wand searches or full
searches of your person, also known as “pat down” searches. Searches may cause delays in
entering the stadium. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early.
     • Each entry gate will include several “express lanes” to expedite entry for those who do not
carry personal belongings into the stadium, as well as an ADA entry, for those who need
additional assistance and time when proceeding through the screening. You are encouraged
to secure belongings in your vehicle whenever possible.
     • Law enforcement personnel may conduct occasional inspections of vehicles parking near the
         stadium as you arrive.
     • In the event of an emergency, ushers, stadium officials and employees will direct you to a safe
location. If you see something, say something, please report it immediately to local law
enforcement, call 9-1-1, event personnel or text (626) 400-5119 with details.
