Registration Guide _ 2020 1 Welcome back From the President to Wellington! Are you ready to regroup and reconnect? Dear Colleagues I am delighted to announce that the NZDA 2020 Conference will take place at TSB Arena in Wellington Monday 12 – Wednesday 14 October and am very much looking forward to hosting NZDA Members, their staff and the dental industry for this opportunity to reconnect in person with each other. This decision enables us to review, reinvent and deliver to members a New Zealand-focused, outstanding scientific programme, the NZDA Awards evening, class reunions and much more. COVID-19 has taught us the security of our work, our profession and our businesses simply cannot be taken for granted. The very ability of us to practice dentistry has been challenged. While dentistry has been rapidly adapting to the digital revolution at pace, COVID-19 has forced us to rethink our status quo. Today, you will struggle to find a dentist who still thinks Zoom is just a function on a camera, that all masks were created equal, that others cannot determine we cease working Katie Ayers and that dentistry is well understood within New Zealand’s health system. President, NZDA In this era NZDA is committed to our profession and navigating the post- COVID equilibrium. Conference 2020 in part is a step towards ushering in a new era in education, compliance, resilience and dental care. More information on the conference programme, preconference course, inclusive hands on courses, social events, our speakers and sponsors may be found in this guide or on the conference page of the NZDA website. Please join us in Wellington. Yours sincerely Destination partners:
