get cooler and the days shorter. With
fall in full swing, it’s a perfect time to
think about how you can stay active
and healthy this fall and winter.
In this issue you’ll find tips on healthy
living and the associated health
benefits for all age groups. You’ll also
find all kinds of recreational and fitness
ideas including drop-in programs and
new registered programs like Yoga for
Non-Yogis, Operation Family Fit where
parents and children can work out
together and a self defense workshop.
Another new option this fall is the
track lane membership at Servus
Credit Union Place. You and your family
can walk, jog and run on the track
at reduced rates. It’s an easy way to
continue or start a walk routine when
sidewalks are snowy and slippery.
If you’d rather breathe the fresh air
and make your own tracks in the snow,
there are countless ways you can be
active in the parks, and on the hills
and trails. Go cross country skiing in
Kingswood Park, tobogganing on hills
throughout the city, or take a long walk
though the Red Willow Trail System,
Grey Nuns White Spruce Park or
Riverlot 56. And check out our feature
on Lace Up Your Skates- for all things
skating.
There’s something for everyone!
