WELCOME It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the Queensland Touch Football 2020 QLD State Cup. QLD State Cup has quickly become a “must do” event on the Touch Football calendar and provides an opportunity for our touch community to come together and celebrate friendships, rivalries and the year that was. In 2020, this that means a Covid-safe event with every necessary precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all involved. QLD State Cup is an annual 3-day Touch Football tournament that brings more than 1,500 players, referees and officials and Affiliates from across Queensland who will showcase the game of touch football. Affiliate teams from Brisbane, South West Queensland, South Queensland, Central Queensland, Sunshine Coast, as well as a number of teams from North Queensland. I thank them for their ongoing support and commitment to the event. This year we also celebrate the inaugural Queensland Touch Football ‘Festival of Touch’, 5 events across 10 days on the picturesque Gold Coast thanks to the support of City of Gold Coast. So welcome aboard for a fun, enjoyable and unforgettable experience! This event provides us with an opportunity to identify our best talent in the state in the lead up to the 2021 State of Origin. The following principles have guided the planning and delivery of the QLD State Cup • Provide a safe and enjoyable participation experience for everyone involved • Provide an occasion for all Queensland Affiliates to come together to celebrate the sport of touch, and • Provide an opportunity to identify talent for further representative opportunities I sincerely thank City of Gold Coast for their support in hosting QLD State Cup, QLD All Nations and Festival of Touch festivities and Tourism and Events Queensland for helping events get back up and running in a trying year. COVID SAFE Queensland Touch Football are dedicated to providing a safe environment for all players and spectators. The QLD State Cup event complies with a Queensland Government approved Industry COVID SAFE EVENT PLAN and will have COVIDSafe preventative measures in place throughout the event. Queensland Touch Football (QTF) are working closely with the City of Gold Coast and local public health authorities to ensure the Queensland State Cup (QSC) is delivered in accordance with all COVID measures and provides a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. The following key principles will be implemented • QTF will implement best practice arrangements before, during and post the event base on advice from Government and Health Authorities. • QTF will ensure participants, spectators and officials maintain and monitor physical distancing of 1.5m off the field of play. • QTF will enhance public hygiene measures before, during and after the event. We all need to play our part in protecting ourselves from COVID-19. Affiliate Coordinators will be responsible for ensuring their players/coaches/manager and spectators abide by all COVID safe measures implemented at the QSC. NO ONE SHOULD ATTEND IF THEY HAVE: • COVID-19 or has been in direct contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days. • Flu-like symptoms or who is a high health risk (e.g. due to age or pre-existing conditions.) • Travelled internationally or to a COVID declared hotspot. PRE EVENT ATTENDEE TRACING All Participants, Referees, Coaches, Volunteers and Affiliate Coordinators will be required to register online via the Mysideline Platform prior the event. CLICK HERE TO PRE REGISTER Spectators MUST show their confirmation e-mail (either pre registration or QR check in) to QTF Officials when requested at the event. QTF encourages all attendees to download the Australian Government COVID Safe App and leave it on while at the venue. 11
COVID SAFE AT THE EVENT SPECTATORS The QSC is a spectator friendly event, however all spectators MUST abide by the COVID safe measures in place. Any spectator who does not abide by these conditions can be asked to leave the venue. Spectators will NOT be allowed within the Affiliate tents. Spectators (or their associated Affiliate) who wish to bring a tent to the venue for shade will be required to advise the QTF Events Team via events@qldtouch. com.au prior to the 25th of November as you will be allocated a location. Any tent that is put up in the venue without the permission of the QTF events team will be removed. Locations where spectator tents can be positioned can be viewed on the website > Event Maps. AFFILIATE TENTS All Affiliate contacts are required to complete the tent request form and confirm details with the QTF event team prior to the event. Any tent that is put up in the venue without the permission of the QTF events team will be removed. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions QTF are working closely with the City of Gold Coast and the Public Health Unit to manage the COVID restrictions appropriately (i.e. social distancing requirements), whilst still providing shade and shelter to teams. Therefore, there will be maximum numbers allowed under each tent, there is to be no co-mingling with oth- er affiliates and or parents, etc. underneath tents and all persons are to practice social distancing. Affiliates will be required to wipe down any common touched surfaces regularly and will be required to provide all members with hand sanisters and ball wipes. Thanks to our partners Hygiene Systems all Affiliates will be provided with a free 500ml sanitising pump bottle and pack of surface wipes to be used on the touch football. Affiliate Coordinators will be responsible of ensuring the COVID safe requirements are met and if they are found to be in breach, the Affiliate may be asked to leave the venue. The QSC will work under the 2m2 rule within the venue, a sign indicating the maximum number of people allowed under each tent at any given time will be in position and must be adhered to. Affiliates MUST ensure all tents are left clean at the end of each day; any rubbish left in the tent area may incur a cleaning fine. ACCESS TO WATER Water tanks will once again be brought into the venue to assist with water requirements for participants, these water tanks are for drinking only! Please ensure you abide by COVID Safe measures and utilise the hand sanitiser available prior to using the taps. QTF encourages all attendees to bring their own water bottle and to not share personal items. GAME TIME Sanitising stations will be located on each field which will contain hand sanisters and surface wipes. Balls should be sanitised pre and post games. SANITISATION All players, referees, coaches and managers must sanitise when they enter the venue, prior and post games and whilst eating. Hygiene Systems hand sanitiser stations will be positioned around the venue however we encourage participants to bring their own as well. SOCIAL DISTANCING All attendees are to practice social distancing whilst off the field of play throughout the event. QSC EVENT INFORMATION
COVID SAFE ANNOUNCEMENTS Regular announcements will be made throughout the day reminding all patrons to practice social distancing, maintain good hygiene and abide by COVID safe practices. SIGNAGE Signs will be positioned around the venue reminding all patrons to practice social distancing as well as personal hygiene requirements. RESULTS All results will be available online via the QLD State Cup website under the results section - https://qld- statecup.qldtouch.com.au/results-fixtures/ and via the QLD State Cup Event Team App TOILETS Toilets will be available around the venue and at the Northern Gold Coast Touch Association club house and additional portable toilets will be positioned around the venue. All toilets will be cleaned regularly through- out the day and we ask patrons to abide by the maximum number of people indicated in each room. PRESENTATIONS Presentations will be spread out over the Sunday after finals to reduce large congregation of crowds. EVENT STAFF There will be QTF Staff positioned around the venue managing the COVID Safe Requirements and ensuring no congregating can occur. All directions from QTF staff MUST be adhered to and any affiliate, participant, spectator, referee etc. found to be in breach of these directions can be asked to leave the venue. 13

Finals Format, Protests and Disciplinary Processes. LEGAL GUARDIANSHIP This event allows for people under the age of 18 to participate. If your team includes players under 18 years of age, please ensure that they are supervised by a legal guardian at all times. IMPORTANT LINKS Touch Football Australia has developed a Responsibility Code for Affiliates. The code will be in place for this event. QTF expects all individuals to abide by the code, which can be viewed below. The TFA Code of Conduct applies to all individuals and entities involved with TFA. This Code aims to ensure our core values, good reputation and positive behaviours and attitude are maintained and that everyone involved in our sport is aware of his or her legal and ethical rights and responsibilities. This code will be in place at this event. TFA RESPONSIBILITY CODE | MEMBERSHIP AND PARTICIPANT DECLARATION | CODE OF CONDUCT EVACUATION PROCEDURE Prior to an evacuation, the following ground announcement will be made over the PA System: “Ladies and Gentlemen, Management has requested that although you are in no immediate danger, for your safety we have to stop the game(s) temporarily and evacuate the fields. Please remain calm and move towards the evacuation point.” The appropriate evacuation process is: 1. After ground announcement (above), all staff/volunteers are to provide guidance and assistance to patrons if an evacuation is conducted. 2. Patrons are to be evacuated to a safe area– clear of problematic, damaged facilities or objects that could cause further harm. 3. A count of all patrons present should be conducted as soon as all are seated and reasonably calm. 4. Patrons and staff are to remain seated in the designated area, until Emergency Services have given the ‘all clear’. PLEASE NOTE: The evacuation point is located at the AFL fields . DATE: Saturday 28 November TIME : 8:45am LOCATION: Coomera Crushers Rugby Club House WHAT TO BRING The following documentation is required to be lodged at your specified Tournament Check-In: • Any medical allowance requests (if required) • Final team list with playing shirt numbers (to be confirmed against the team lists you provided via e-mail). A team list report detailing the registered players and officials, and further information on how to input team numbers will be emailed to the Affiliate Manager. Please contact the team if you have not received this information prior to the event. NOTE • New players cannot be added to the final team list (provided at Tournament Check-In) without being registered online prior. • If a player who is not registered and listed on the final team list takes the field, the game will be forfeited. Team Managers are to confirm team lists and numbers at the official Tournament Check-In. At this time, a match ball and other information will be provided. QSC EVENT INFORMATION
PARKING AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECTATOR & PARTICIPANT PARKING Parking will be available within the venue. Please note the event site map which indicates parking locations. The Coomera Scouts Group will be managing the car parking in the grassed area near the Coomera Rugby League Club. Please make sure you abide by all instructions and drive slowly throughout the venue. Please note there will be another event taking place within the precinct and some parking locations are out of bounds for QLD State Cup participants. Please drive carefully throughout the precinct as they will be pedestrians around. DISABLED PARKING Parking for those who require accessible parking will be situated near the entry into the venue off Beattie St. Please note you MUST contact the QTF office if you require a car park in this location and display your parking permit to the Parking Marshals on arrival. More information on parking can be found on the event precinct map on page 20. 17

COMPETITION TIME field 1 are you the fastest on the field? fastest on the field 1:20PM FRIDAY 27 NOVEMBER The Fit Lab’s Fastest on the Field competition will be held at the QLD State Cup on Friday. How to take part? Affiliates can enter one male and female to represent them in the Fastest of the Field. The Referee team can also enter 1 male and 1 female. The individual or affiliate coordinator must register their representative for the Fastest on the field at The Fit Lab tent located in The Hub no later than 1:00pm Friday 27 November. The Fastest on the Field will be run for both Male and Females and The Fit Lab will be utilising their timings gates so we can see who really is the fastest over 70m. Prizes to be won! The fastest male and fastest female will walk away with a 1kg Whey protein and a shaker pack thanks to The Fit Lab! QSC EVENT INFORMATION
Can you throw the longest pass? 12:40PM SATURDAY 28 NOVEMBER LONGEST PASS The Titans Longest Pass competition will be held at the QLD State Cup on Saturday How to take part? Affiliates can enter one male and female rep- resentative into the Titans longest pass. The individual or affiliate coordinator must register the representatives at the Titans tent located in The Hub no later than 12:00pm Saturday 28 November. Each entrant gets the opportunity to have three throws where they try to throw the longest pass. The Longest Male and Female Passes will be named the winner. Prizes to be won!
