POLICIES & PROCEDURES CANCELLATION POLICY We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel a private lesson or court reservation. When cancellations are made with less than 24 hours notice, the client will be digitally invoiced for the court or the lesson unless we rent the court or the pro is able to schedule another client in the same appointment slot. All cancellations must be made by contacting West Indy during normal business hours via phone or in writing to the WIRC email. 48-HOUR PRE-REGISTRATION POLICY We require a minimum of 48 hours notice to register for clinics and events. A minimum of 4 participants is required for clinics/events to run. Late registration will result in the possibility that no additional spots will be available for those who do not pre-register. By registering, player assumes responsibility of payment regardless of attendance. WALK-ON POLICY One of the perks of being a junior member at West Indy Racquet Club is that our junior players have the option of renting a court at no charge if they are playing an exhibition match against another junior player. A junior player may walk-on 30-minutes prior to a junior clinic or 30-minutes after a junior clinic for the sole purpose of playing an exhibition match against another junior player. However, should another member come in and pay to utilize that court, the paying member will get priority. Junior members will be limited to 30-minutes of free play but may choose to pay a court rental fee to stay longer than 30-minutes. GUEST POLICY West Indy Racquet Club members may bring a guest to play at WIRC four times without the guest player being charged a guest fee. Whether the member chooses to bring 1 guest 4 times or 4 guests 1 time, four guest fees will be waived for that member. Guests who choose to play at WIRC beyond those four visits with a member will be charged a $10 per person guest fee on top of their court rental. Guest fees are built into non-member pricing for clinics. 2020 - 2021 PROGRAMMING GUIDE 7

Jr. Aces Tennis Academy RED ACES, ORANGE ACES, & GREEN ACES Our Junior Aces programs encourage age and level appropriate learning. West Indy Racquet Club (WIRC) is excited to support the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Ten and Under Tennis (TAUT) initiative. Our USTA approved short court lines facilitate tennis play of all levels. The goal is to introduce tennis to young children in a fun and positive way using the USTA Jr. Pathway, which allows children to enjoy greater success at a beginning level of tennis. As players progress through our program, they are instructed in both technique and strategy. We hope to develop young players who will learn skills they can use both on and off of the tennis court. West Indy Racquet Club is proud to offer fluid programming for our Junior Aces Tennis Academy. This means that your junior tennis player can move through the levels of Red Aces, Orange Aces, & Green Aces at their own pace and can move up to the next class level mid-session. Because we offer clearly written competencies for each level and the same instructor for all of our Junior Aces classes, your junior player does not have to wait for a West Indy Session to conclude and a new session to begin before their instructor can recommend that they advance. See pages 22- 27 to view the competencies our pros want to see junior players master before they move up to the next class. 2020 - 2021 PROGRAMMING GUIDE 13

ADULT BEGINNER + ADVANCED BEGINNER CLINIC SUNDAYS 2:00-3:00 PM This clinic is for adults who are new to the game of tennis and haven’t yet learned how to correctly swing a racquet in the different positions (forehand, backhand, volley, serve, etc.) The goal is to help you become a strong enough player to eventually join a league or clinic at West Indy. These clinics are fluid, meaning that you could be moved up in the middle of a session at no additional cost to the participant. Both clinics run for one hour and cost the same per session, so that the instructor can help you advance on your own personal timeline rather than based on the West Indy calendar. Once the instructor feels that you are ready to move on to the next level of programming, they can help place you in a new clinic and/or connect you to the right people to help you find a league or team on which to continue to play. # OF SESSION DATES MEMBER NON-MEMBER CLASSES SEPTEMBER 9/12, 9/19, 9/26 3 $54 $75 OCTOBER 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31 5 $90 $125 NOVEMBER 11/7, 11/14, 11/21 3 $54 $75 DECEMBER 12/5, 12/12, 12/19 3 $54 $75 JANUARY 1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30 4 $72 $100 FEBRUARY 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27 4 $72 $100 MARCH 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27 4 $72 $100 APRIL 4/3, 4/10, 4/24 3 $54 $75 MAY 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22 4 $72 $100 40 WEST INDY RACQUET CLUB

UTR WHAT IS IT? UTR Powered by Oracle is a global rating system that promotes fair and competitive play across the tennis world. All players, regardless of age, gender, geography or skill level, are rated on a same scale between 1 and 16.50 based on actual match results. BENEFITS OF UTR UTR provides a real-time view of a player’s true skill level. Having a UTR enables you to track your progress, find level-based play, and expand your tennis network to play with people across age, gender and tennis silo. HOW UTR IS CALCULATED UTR is calculated by an algorithm using a player’s last 30 eligible match scores from the last 12 months. For each eligible match, the algorithm calculates a match rating and a match weight; a player’s UTR is the weighted average of all the match ratings. https://www.myutr.com/howutrworks 46 WEST INDY RACQUET CLUB
