WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SUMMER AT TAUNTON
BREWHOUSE, WITH A RANGE OF PERFORMANCES, FILMS,
    AND EVENTS FOR ALL.
As we continue to welcome audiences back to the theatre, we are programming
plenty of outdoor performances to introduce new audiences to our work and to cater
for those who feel safer engaging with activity outside in the fresh air.

We have a range of free events in Somerset Square throughout July and August
especially for families to enjoy during the Summer Holidays. We will be celebrating
Taunton Live and Pride on 17 July in partnership with GoCreate, and collaborating with Exmoor-based
Pleasure Dome Theatre Company (as well as The Museum of Somerset and The Castle Hotel) to bring
Shakespeare’s magical A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Castle Gardens in August.

Continuing the partnership theme, we are thrilled to bring you the BrewHaHa Comedy Weekend on the 23
& 24 July with main house and studio acts in comedy festival-style, in association with Genius PR & Events.
The auditorium welcomes back some of our all-time favourite music acts for a truly Great Night Out with
friends and family, and we bring you filmed theatre and exhibition with Alfie Boe & Michael Ball: Together
Again from the O2; Arthur Miller’s modern classic play The Crucible from the National Theatre; and
Gauguin from The National Gallery, in the first ever exhibition devoted to the French artist’s portraiture.
Our Gallery hosts Somerset Art Gallery Trust’s eARTh exhibition, celebrating the best of the Somerset’s
artists’ responses to the natural environment, and free to enjoy until 12 September.

We look forward to welcoming you.

When a young romance is thwarted by
the powers that be, life and death prove
to be the mysterious ultimate executors of
      fate. The Holland Handkerchief combines
storytelling, movement and live original music
and is based on the folk ballad of the same
name. It tells the story of a wealthy squire’s
daughter who is forbidden from marrying her
lover, and of the terrible consequences of
his actions. Somerset’s own Kerchief Theatre
Company and alt-folk sister duo Currer Bell,
      have combined hauntingly beautiful music
and stagecraft, to tell this curious tale of love,
      loyalty, and honour.

CHRISTMAS SHOW FOR ALL THE FAMILY - WIND IN THE WILLOWS
9 DEC – 2 JAN (TIMES VARY)
Book now! Standard tickets from £19.50 | 12 & Under from £16 (Suitable for all ages)

Book and Lyrics by Julian Woolford | Music by Richard John | From the novel by Kenneth Grahame

“There’s nothing quite like messing around in boats.”

Mole has never really left home before. But today, something is different. The world outside is calling,
and he feels like it is time to answer…

Very soon, Mole is caught up in a whirlwind of wild adventures with his new friends Ratty, Mr.
Badger and the absurd but loveable Mr. Toad. Can they overcome angry judges, mischievous
weasels, and Toad’s own mad impulses to get their lives back to normal?

From the team that brought you The Railway Children, written by Julian Woolford and
based on the much-loved classic by Kenneth Grahame, this heart-warming musical tale of
friendship and folly will be fun for all the family. Toot toot!

Presented by arrangement with Julian Woolford and Richard John.
