WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SUMMER AT TAUNTON BREWHOUSE, WITH A RANGE OF PERFORMANCES, FILMS, AND EVENTS FOR ALL. As we continue to welcome audiences back to the theatre, we are programming plenty of outdoor performances to introduce new audiences to our work and to cater for those who feel safer engaging with activity outside in the fresh air. We have a range of free events in Somerset Square throughout July and August especially for families to enjoy during the Summer Holidays. We will be celebrating Taunton Live and Pride on 17 July in partnership with GoCreate, and collaborating with Exmoor-based Pleasure Dome Theatre Company (as well as The Museum of Somerset and The Castle Hotel) to bring Shakespeare’s magical A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Castle Gardens in August. Continuing the partnership theme, we are thrilled to bring you the BrewHaHa Comedy Weekend on the 23 & 24 July with main house and studio acts in comedy festival-style, in association with Genius PR & Events. The auditorium welcomes back some of our all-time favourite music acts for a truly Great Night Out with friends and family, and we bring you filmed theatre and exhibition with Alfie Boe & Michael Ball: Together Again from the O2; Arthur Miller’s modern classic play The Crucible from the National Theatre; and Gauguin from The National Gallery, in the first ever exhibition devoted to the French artist’s portraiture. Our Gallery hosts Somerset Art Gallery Trust’s eARTh exhibition, celebrating the best of the Somerset’s artists’ responses to the natural environment, and free to enjoy until 12 September.
