Chambersburg Quilt Guild May 2022 President’s Message Hello from Indiana! My son and I arrived safely on Saturday afternoon, April 23. Just in time for the elementary school annual carnival and my grandson’s 10th birthday. He had a camping themed party so the whole family (except me) slept out in the backyard in a new tent. I just looked through all the pictures on Facebook from the retreat. Hard to believe so many completed quilts or squares were ready to show. And you all looked like you were having fun. Thanks to Mary Diner and her energy filled committee for organizing this event twice a year! The May meeting will be our Grand Finale which will be held at the Presbyterian Church next door to the 11/30 Visitors Center. Merry Bush and her new board will be installed and begin their planning for meetings beginning in September. Merry and I were able to meet before I left. We discussed the current year and I heard some of her thoughts for next year. She will lead you through a great year. Tuesday, April 26 my moving van arrives at my new home...and then another round of boxes begins. May 1 I leave for a retreat with my Michigan friends. I joined their group in the late 90’s and have met with them twice a year ever since. This year my travels will be easier as I can stuff my car and just drive over to the retreat center called Creative Passions in Chesaning, Mi. No flying in with my sewing machine! I will keep in touch through Facebook. Keep quilting and keep smiling! Kris Ricci May 2022 The Bee Line page 1
