HELPING OUR COMMUNITY THRIVE TODAY AND TOMORROW Welcome! Toast 21 allows you to choose from a fascinating collection of interactive virtual experiences and intimate at home dinners with friends. Our annual hallmark of fine wining, dining and fun have reached new heights this year with some of the area’s most creative chefs, mixologists, caterers, musicians and other notables specially commissioned to not only bring to life outstanding experiences but also provide much-needed support for peoplein the hospitality and entertainment industries. Virtual Experiences Guests of the Toast of the Town virtual experiences will be treated to an upscale delivery of cocktails or fine wine and delectable dinner created by the most talented local chefs, restaurants and caterers. You will then log on to an interactive and intimate conversation or performance (or both) from a special guest or guests who will include renowned musicians, authors and esteemed experts from across the nation. To kick off each event, a DJ will spin a playlist of tunes. Space is limited in virtual experiences, and guests will be placed in parties based on priority status. Toast at Home These inventive themed dinner parties enable you to gather with friends safely in your own home. Invite guests of your choosing to enjoy a special night of friendship, food and fun. A culinary star will create a unique menu replete with dinner, dessert, cocktails and wine, and we will deliver it right to your door. Three different Toast at Home packages are available on scheduled dates. There is no limit to how many people may select a package to host their Toast at Home dinner on the scheduled evening, and no priority status reservations are needed. Sponsors may use their sponsorship tickets, or you may purchase individual tickets for you and your guests. 5

ST. DAVID’S NEAL KOCUREK SCHOLARSHIPS Since inception, 616 students have received St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholar scholarships to study medicine, nursing, physical therapy, biomedical engineering and other health-related careers at Texas colleges and universities. GOOD TIMES FOR A GREAT CAUSE Toast of the Town is the fundraising drive for the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship Fund, and 100 percent of your gift is used to fund students’ educations. Now more than ever, we are reminded of the vital importance a strong healthcare workforce provides for the health and well-being of our Central Texas Community. St. David’s Foundation Community Fund will match two-to-one all Toast of the Town contributions, tripling the dollars awarded to the scholarship fund. Every dollar raised will result in three dollars towards a scholarship. Dr. Neal Kocurek, the longtime President and CEO of St. David’s Foundation, was a visionary civic leader who understood our community and cared about its future. As part of Dr. Kocurek’s legacy, this memorial scholarship fund was established to take his vision into the future by awarding college scholarships to students interested in pursuing health-related careers from Travis, Hays, Williamson, Bastrop and Caldwell counties. 7

How Do I Sign Up? • First, browse the exciting array of parties for the Toast 21 season! • Choose a few parties you and your friends would like to attend. • Sponsors will be automatically enrolled in the Toast of the Town Concierge Program and will be invited to submit their reservations online. • If you are not already a sponsor, sign up online today at toastaustin.org. The party reservation deadline is April 15th. • If you prefer to receive a signup form via email, please send your request to info@toastaustin.org. • A party confirmation will be sent to you via Toast Concierge. • Be certain to list your parties in order of preference and please list several extra parties. If your first choice is not available, we will do our best to place you in the next available preference listed. • Sponsors are welcome to purchase additional tickets; however, these tickets will be given “ticket level priority status” and not considered part of their sponsorship. • St. David’s Foundation Community Fund cannot give refunds on tickets. They have been featured in the New York Times, USA Today, Bitter Southerner, The Tennessean and American Songwriter. Rolling Stone called them one of the best things at the 2019 Americana Music Festival. Elizabeth and Vanessa will join us from Nashville for an evening of storytelling and music, including stories from their first book, Hidden History of Music Row, and their companion album, Tiny Televisions. The Katherine Tsanoff Brown Chair in Humanities and Professor of History at Rice University, Douglas Brinkley is a best-selling author of 30 books, history commentator for CNN and contributing editor to Vanity Fair. Mark Updegrove, president and CEO of the LBJ Foundation and author of four books, has conducted exclusive interviews with five U.S. Presidents and serves as Presidential Historian for ABC News. ROCK & ROLL STORIES WITH KATHY VALENTINE OF THE GO-GO’S Friday May 14 Rob Giardinelli Lance Avery Morgan 7:00 p.m. Rockstar guitarist and songwriter Kathy Valentine made music history with her all woman rock band, the Go-Go’s, in the 1980s. Their first album hit No.1 on Billboard, went double platinum and became one of the bestselling debut albums of all time. Breaking news: the Go-Go’s were just inducted into the 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. In her 2020 memoir, All I Ever Wanted, Kathy wrote about her historic rise to the apex of American music and the challenges of fame. Several of her songs are featured in the Broadway musical Head Over Heels, based on the Go-Go’s catalog. Back in her hometown of Austin, Kathy plays with The Bluebonnets, the band she started in high school. Austin Catering will prepare a dinner that will be an excellent accompaniment. Executive Chef Janelle Reynolds wields her magic to craft vibrantly healthy dishes mixed with American comfort food, accented with Texas flair. Before taking the helm at Rosedale, she applied her skills and creativity at some of Austin’s favorite restaurants, such as Vespaio and Bess Bistro. Now, she has made Rosedale into an Austin classic. As you enjoy the outstanding blend of flavors in the dishes and cocktail prepared just for you, Chef Janelle will present a cooking demonstration.
