Give thanks for The Ven Anthony Gregorowski and pray for the work that he is doing to draw the retired EVENTS: F.O.V Training Sunday 11 July 2021 SEVENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST World Wide Communion: The Episcopal Church in the Philippines The Diocesan Ministries St Peter, the Fisherman, CHURCHHAVEN We give thanks to God that we can share in in-person services once more. We pray for the re- emerging of the community gatherings at the church and the plans for the maintenance and the clean-up of the plant that we are gaining in momentum. We pray for the communities linked to the church with special prayers for all the older members who still live in the area. We give thanks for their lives and the lives of their ancestors who are buried in the graveyard. We pray for the work being done to restore those graves that have fallen into disrepair. We pray for The Revd Ann Currie as she travels regularly to the church. May God protect her on the road and in her time with us. God bless all who come from near and far to our services. As, we, in these uncertain and challenging times seek new ways to be Church, we pray for a renewed sense of commitment amongst our young adults. Through God's grace, may we continue to reach beyond our walls and through our community outreaches, draw others into a deeper relationship with God. We thank God for the Quiet Garden Programs that continue virtually; the Taizé recordings that involve more and more young people. The daily Morning Thought that is being sent to all parishioners and the weekly reflection on the Gospel reading of the day sent to all parishioners on Whatsapp Chat. Also, we give thanks to God for the growing number of people that now attends in-person worship on Sundays and Wednesdays. Please pray for the Parish’s Property, Assessment and Development Committee, a sub-committee of the Parish Council, as they consider options to consolidate the parish plant, including the Rectory and the assistant Priest’s residences, and consider new ways of either improving the parish hall or building a new one. Monday 19 July 2021 World Wide Communion: The Diocese of South Dakota – The Episcopal Church (VI (6) Province) St John, Klipheuwel We give thanks to God for the faithfulness of the people who worship at the chapelry. We acknowledge the hard work done by the leadership, especially David Hartzenberg, Eljohn-Jansen and the laity. We give thanks to God for the messages shared on Gender Based Violence and we pledge to work together to eliminate this second pandemic in our community. We pray Gods blessing on our chapelry council, the safe house project being undertaken by Elizabeth Maans and our families and children being prepared for confirmation. We give thanks to God for The Revd. Alphonsus Maria who has become a prayerful presence in our community. We acknowledge the hard work done by the leadership, especially David Hartzenberg, Eljohn-Jansen and the laity. We give thanks to God for the messages shared on Gender Based Violence and we pledge to work together to eliminate this second pandemic in our community. We pray Gods blessing on our chapelry council, the safe house project being undertaken by Elizabeth Maans and our families and children being prepared for confirmation. Wednesday 21 July 2021 World Wide Communion: The Diocese of Damaturu – The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) (Jos Province) St Paul-in-the-valley, Durbanville We give thanks and praise to God for his faithfulness and guidance to us during these difficult and challenging times. We continue to uphold our families in our prayers, especially the families that have lost loved ones. We pray for God’s guidance as we seek for creative and practical ways of reaching out to the bereaved, and the most vulnerable within the congregation and in our community. We pray for God’s guidance and direction upon our young people, children’s ministry, all the pastoral initiatives and our pastoral outreach ministry to the vulnerable in our community. We pray for the ordinands, Maria Van Staden and Maria Claassen and their families. We pray for God’s guidance and direction upon their lives in their discerning journey of God’s calling upon their lives. We thank God for the faithfulness of our lay ministers, as they minister in new and creative ways to the congregation. We give thanks especially for their contribution and faithfulness towards the Daily Reflections as a source of encouragement and inspiration to the people of St. Paul in the Valley. We thank God for the support and encouragement that they receive from their families. We give thanks and praise for the ministry and leadership of the MU, especially as we pray for God’s guidance and direction upon the life of Jeanette Claassen as the President of the Diocesan MU. Pray for our Chapelry Council and Chapelwardens, Gloria Hartzenburg, and Ben Van Staden, and The Revd. Stephen Tekana, priest in their ministry to the people of St. Paul in the Valley. We thank to God for the life and ministry of Jennifer our music director in her ministry to God’ people.

Thank you for our spiritual shepherd, The Revd. Lutya and his family, as he continues to lead our Parish. Lord, we pray for the Facilitators of the Children’s Ministries, especially for the candidates preparing for Confirmation. We also pray for our Leadership, especially the Covid Team and Marshals who give so generously of their time and talents. Thank you for the success of all the appointed leaders in our Parish and the challenges set before us for 2021. Loving God, give us the courage to ask for help when we need it and to offer help when we see others in need. Keep watch, we ask, with those who work or weep, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous and all for your love’s sake. You are a God of compassion and faithfulness. During this challenging time, please protect, nourish and sustain our Bishop, The Rt. Revd Raphael Hess, Diocesan clergy, other church leaders and the people of the community, through the work of your Holy Spirit. May they find rest and encouragement in your loving care. Gracious and loving God, we thank your for the gift of our new priest, The Bishop’s Vicar, The Revd Allan du Ploy. Through him, we experience your presence in the sacraments. Thank you to those who reached out to us through donations and emotional support. Lord, carry us and give us the courage and conviction to continue to be a beacon of hope amidst the violence and crime in our area. Strengthen and give wisdom to the Bishop's Vicar and the parish leadership. Bless and protect our organizations and parishioners and thank you for the assurance that you will never leave or forsake us. Lord, we are still in the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic and our lives are disrupted, but we hope and trust, like your prophets of old, that you will hear our plea for an end to this pandemic. Amen. Friday 30 July 2021 World Wide Communion: The Diocese of Dhaka – The (united) Church of Bangladesh St Nicholas, Matroosfontein “All things bright and beautiful... The Lord God made them all... Dear God, thank You for this day! Thank You for the birds and the animals, the flowers and the trees, the lakes and the streams, the sun that rises and sets over them each day. Thank you for creating everything we see. Lord God, we thank you for who you are and for all that you have done for us. Thank you for loving us and keeping your hand of protection over us.
We give you thanks for the ministry and leadership of The Revd Victor and The Revd Suzette, as well as the Wardens Allison, Jonathan and Jade. Thank you for our parish secretary, who works diligently and for his love and compassion with which he receives people at the office. We pray for an end to the violence and crime in our area and for those currently trying to overcome the trauma of a recent event. Lord, the load shedding has become incredibly challenging for businesses and families. Please give guidance and wisdom to those in authority. We pray for our candidates who are busy preparing for Confirmation as well as for their parents who need to support them. Heavenly Father, you are gracious indeed. Thank you for the generous pledging and faithful giving in our Parish. We bring before you the sick and fragile and especially those in isolation and hospital, that by your healing hand they may recover. We pray for the families of those who have lost a loved one and we remember all those who died of the Corona virus. Heavenly Father, enfold us in your love and please help us to be obedient and adhere to the COVID-19 protocols. Lord in your mercy. Hear our prayer. Dear Lord Jesus, you hold the parish of St Margaret’s in your hands. Guide your parish, mold and form us to become what you would have us be. May we work to give you glory and praise and hear the calling of your Holy Spirit to guide us in all the ministries within the parish. We humbly ask that you would protect all, and provide for those in financial difficulties, escalated due to Covid. Let your scriptures be our encouragement and strengthen those in fear, and may we grow in our spiritual relationship with you during this time of Covid.
