Custom Tours The COA Nationals for Top Choirs has become the top destination for choral programs looking for the highest magnitude choral festival experience available today. Since the first COA Nationals in New York City and Carnegie Hall featuring Anton Armstrong as Master Conductor in 2013, the program has grown quickly. Our mission is “to engage, inspire, and educate choirs” from across the country by bringing them in contact with the finest conductors, composers, and educators in the industry. Each event is grounded in the belief that collaboration is far better than competition. Each program emphasizes high level educational adjudications, full one-hour clinics, and amazing performance opportunities hand-in-hand with collaborative interaction with other choirs and teaching artists. Moreover, you and your Choir will have the opportunity to study with one of America’s finest choral conductors, perform world-premieres with well-known composers, and engage in clinics and workshops with our incredible teaching faculty is an incredibly powerful experience. It is our strong belief that the ability to learn collaboratively with other choirs broadens horizons and expands perspectives. PROGRAM SUMMARY Day 1 Today, each participating choral program will benefit from an adjudicated performance of their own repertoire, followed by an engaging, one-hour clinic with one of COA’s Master Clinicians. Everyone will also enjoy a scheduled observational opportunity, along with engaging workshops for ALL participants. Scheduled workshops include: • xChange – A Meeting of Voices (during which choirs from across the country interact with and sing for each other) • Broadway 101 workshop (join our Broadway faculty for an engaging, energetic look at the world of musical theater) Day 2 The COA National’s Master Conductor takes over today for fun and educational massed choir rehearsals. Following rehearsals, all participating choirs will perform during an awe inspiring prism concert in world-famous Stern Auditorium in Carnegie Hall. During the concert, choral programs bringing 45 or more singers will have the opportunity for a “spotlight performance” on their own… and ALL participants will perform as one of two massed choirs. The concert wraps with an amazing all-choir world premiere finale written by the Composer-in-Residence especially for this event. Optional pre/post festival overnights and activities can be arranged and customized to each choir’s exact specification. 2344 Perimeter Park Drive, Atlanta, GA 30341 | 770.220.2242 | www.perform-america.com | info@perform-america.com
