From Our Principal Welcome to Port Macquarie Campus, a proud member of the Hastings Valley Community of Schools. Our values are reflected in our Positive Behaviour for Learning. They are: Respect, Safe and Personal Best. These are the unique qualities that set us apart. The shared vision for our campus is to inspire, challenge and empower each other through the promotion of learning excellence, fostering wellbeing and resilience, developing strong and authentic relationships and working collaboratively to build our college community. This is a vision of and for a community of learners – it is not just the students who learn, but ALL who are a part of our campus. Our campus offers many avenues to support students through their high school years and there are many opportunities for you to take up. There is no escaping the hard work that underpins academic success and utilising learning opportunities. Some of you have chosen academies and some personal interest projects. There are many other opportunities in sport and in cultural activities such as choir, bands and public speaking. Voluntary work is an important part of our school life. Take up all of the opportunities offered to you. We have key personnel who can offer assistance to both students and parents. These personnel include year advisors, faculty head teachers, deputy principals, girl’s supervisor and counsellors. Beginning with our partner primary schools, the K-12 learning journey happens successfully because of the many hands touching the lives of every student in our learning community. My expectation is that every child in our care is known, valued and cared for. Once again, welcome to Port Macquarie Campus. We look forward to developing a close relationship with you and your family through open and honest communication between school and home. My advice to you and your parents is to contact the school if you have any questions or concerns. We are only a phone call away. I look forward to working hand in hand with you. PS: The Year 7 Camp is in Term 1. It is a great opportunity to meet students who have come from other primary schools and to have fun. Meaghan Cook | Principal | Port Macquarie Campus
