Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri Port Authority Initiatives Distribution Center/Waterways Connectivity: Strategically centralized warehousing or distribution center (CenterPoint-KCS Intermodal and Richards-Gebaur Commerce Park) adjacent to the Kansas City Southern rail line and with direct access to major interstates. Additionally, a one-of-a-kind waterway potential (the Port of Kansas City) with connectivity to the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers directly connecting to 21 states. Financing Capabilities: Distribution centers located in Foreign Trade Zone. The Port Authority also has the capability to enable PIDs to collect sales, property or use taxes and provide conduit financing through industrial revenue bonds.
