Dear Reader, At DK, we make books for the curious, and who is more curious about the world around them than children? You are probably familiar with DK’s stunning visual nonfiction books, and may have even grown up with our iconic series like DK Eyewitness or DKfindout! books that help kids explore all their favorite subjects, from the animal kingdom to ancient history to the human body. In this rapidly evolving world, we’re finding that children’s curiosity needs to be nurtured and supported in new ways, and we’ve recently branched out into new publishing categories, such as our new fiction series, The Secret Explorers, Verity Fairy, and Dinosaur Club, and two graphic novel series, Corpse Talk and The Renegades. In 2022 and 2023, you’ll see even more unique formats for DK as we expand our picture book publishing. Titles like Look Out, Leonard!, Alone Together, and Lost in the Clouds will help children understand and navigate the world around them through engaging imagery, as DK books have always done, but now we will explore new topics through more narrative and character-driven storytelling.
